Ahhhh....a refreshing titanium spring breeze is blowing across the Berg forum. Hopefully it will develop into a stiff wind soon. Looking good Hiz-ouse. How do you you adjust caster with them sweet axles?

Yes, there is a split clamping collar on the back side of the c hub.
The c hub itself is very finely threaded to the tube, so with the collar
clamped down there should be no worry of it moving. Luckily loctite is
my friend, also... ;-)

These axles are superior to the originals in almost every way. No wonder they took so long, they kept coming up with better ideas the whole time. Amazing. You are a lucky man! "thumbsup"

So, one thing about running the Rock Logic chassis is the optimum shock
length is 4" eye to eye. My plans are to run the aluminum SCX10 shocks,
but they are only 3.5". I have seen a few of the shock cap mods to run
a rod end, but wasn't very impressed by seeing a couple of the button
head screws pulled through the cap, so off to build a better mouse trap...

Here is the basic starting point with the Axial SCX10 shock

Like normal, I cut the top off of the shock cap

I took a SS BHCS to the lathe for a little machining lovin'..
Can you see the idea yet?

Here the screw meets up with the cap and rod end

And if you didn't figure out the weird looking screw yet,
it is to fill the entire cap for strength, and also be an oring seat
to make sure it doesn't leak like a seive...

Whipped up a set of four for all corners

Machined up some spring spacers and spring cups while I was at it...

Spent most of the day today cleaning parts, finding correct size hardware, test fitting, etc.

Oh House will those spacers you made for the shocks if you make them a little under sized you can do away with the nut and drop a few grams too, its what ive done on my berg"thumbsup"

Or he can use the small plastic ones that come with the shocks if he doesn't want to make new ones.
