I think it bears some of the responsibility. Look at those kids...in Ohio I believe it was, that live streamed a person drowning instead of helping a few years back. You know damn well they thought it would get them a bunch of likes/views.

Social media is a tool. How can tools, which are operated by humans, be blamed?

The parents failed. The kids failed.

Social media allowed them to share their failure, but they weren't to blame for it.

That was social media for the good side though, it showed how restrained that adult was and that infact it was the punk ass 12 year old who initiated it. If it wasnt for the video the man would probably been the bad guy and the kid played as innocent.

That kid got what he deserved! You dont swing at an adult and expect to get no repercussion for it.

That kid needs charges for vandalism and the parents held responsible, they simply failed.

Who you blame is up to you. However social media is designed to be addictive. It is the intent of the designer to trigger a chemical reaction that release the same additive compounds into your brain as many illegal drugs.


It is no different the drug abuse, alcoholism or frankly your morning cup of coffee.


I mean seriously I see these kids on dates texting, I dont know who, when they aught to be working on getting in the girl across the tables pants. What the hell is wroung with these kids priorities?

The difference is it is targeting young people who have not had the opportunity to generate life experience that develops moderation.

In relation to this i just heard a 6 massive data center will go up here, unknown who is the builder, but the other 5 companies that have or are building data centers here, well its not really companies that are know for paying what it cost, rather they will jump tax hoops.
I am Pretty sure we Danes will be the sucker in this, as these suck on our data infrastructure and our green wind turbine power, well that all feed into data centers now, so in essence Denmark are not really the little green wonder nation we claim to be cuz the rest of the country are on coal power.



Of course the new data center will be where the viking link cable ( power ) and the TAT 14 data cable make landfall here, but i am sure it will also put a eastbound traffic load on our grid too.

I am pretty sure NSA will soon be building a black bunker here, it will be a sweet spot for spying on,,,,,,,,, well everyone.


That being said in 2 weeks i get gigabit for 1 dollar less than i pay for my current 140/60 connection :mrgreen:

I expect to be able to get 5G flatrate ( 1 TB data /mo fair usage ) mobile at a prize i want to pay in a year or 2, at the moment its 4G & 21 USD/mo and thats at least 5 dollars more than i would like to pay for something as stupid as a phone subscription.

True, but the people who made social media that we all use today know it’s addictive & they don’t care. That’s where their responsibility comes in. Yes, people should have restraint & know when to put down the phone, but sadly...too many don’t.

In a lovely bit of sheer stupidity, Apple released an app on curing you of your phone addiction... I’ve never been to an AA meeting, but I assume they don’t greet you with a beer.
