Alrighty!

Just bought my Jeep yesterday, have yet to run it.... (think im gona go find a 6 cell and my peak charger lol) but I wana paint it...

Just wondering what I should do to paint it up....

Friend is going to use a paint gun and everything on his lol...

What do you guys use?

Guns, Fizz cans, Rattle cans? Id probably be using several cans of rattle can unless someone advises another way to make it look good.

Thanks!

I haven't painted anything but the links on my Nylints and I'll tell you this,

Scuff it up slightly and use some paint either formulated for Lexan or Krylons Plastic specialty paint. The stuff this is made of appears to be some type of Nylon and is not easily adhered to/bonded to by standard rattle can paints.

I used standard black paint on my links and they have been flaking off.

Used regular rattle can on my scorp body. Just had to do a real thin coat first.. I didnt scuff it up or anything.

Real thin coat.. let it dry then you can do athick coat... :P

I do recomend scuffing it up though. I dont know why i didnt..

my friend and I, hes an automobile painter, are going to go to wally world tuesday and look at paints for it.

He says they sell a chemical that allows the paint to bend and everything...

Looking at maybe a Candy color for car bumpers (should be somewhat flexible) or else Im just gona do silver and black like my 1:1 ^^

If you can get the flex agent additive from an automotive painter that would be kool. Use the autobody grade sealer and that should do the trick. Too bad I don't have any contacts in that arena here in FL.

I used a rattle can (spray paint) by rustoleum, that is made for plastic. I didn't scuff, and it adhered very well, and didn't go on too thick. Looked good till I got it on the rocks!!!

Use Krylon Fusion Paint. works awesome. I used a black Sharpie Professional marker to color my links, wheels, and other small stuff. Using the marker is good because touch up is easy.

and dont forget to scuff it up!!

use American Tradition Plastic Primer then you can use any color/kind of spray paint you want. it takes two coats of primer and atleast one hour of set up then you can apply your top coat and it doesn't require sanding

it's good stuff i used it on mine and it doesn't scratch off!

you can get it at Lowe's
