HPI Savage Flux HP or Associated SC8E..?

The RC8T is about $500 + Brushless Conversion & Electronics is going to be about another $300-$400 dont you think?

Yup, it`s close to 900-1000 all in all, if you go all the way on a CE edition, and castle motor/esc..

But unlike the flux, you dont have to use money on modding it afterwards, to make it last or/and handle great..

eBay! Often you can find racers dumping their year or two old trucks (and buggies). Heck might even look at Savages there too. Bought both my Savages there, was a lot cheaper than buying new especially since they've been out for quite some time.

Ola is right though. I did buy the RC8TCE and the only things I have done to it, other than bodies, are some Maximizer beadlocks running ProLine Badlands, additional springs, and am running some stiffer springs in the rear, and some stiffer diff oil for the center diff.

The Savages on the other hand... the list goes on and on. :) New TVC plates (bent the normal ones), updates diffs (but those come with newest savages), roll bar, springs, updated gears for the tranny, etc. The nitro runs on Axial 40 series beadlocks and ProLine Big Joes, and the Flux is on 40 series Trenchers and ProLine non-beadlock wheels (ugh).

Like I said, I can bring 'em both at Roselle... probably need to back up the farm to give them room to run.

then I'll take that bug body off yer hands "thumbsup"

That one?

Nice"thumbsup"

Yeah, I'm not quite sure which direction I want to go just yet. There are so many options! ahhh!
That would be cool if you could bring them with for sunday to play around at the barn.
Is your savage flux the HP one or the 2350?

My Savage is running a Mamba Monster (actual, not the Flux ESC) and a Flux 2200kv motor. I have the GCM modded motor mounts to run a CC1800kv or CC1600kv motor too (but right now my 1800kv is in my RC8Te). Run it on 4S... 6S is a bit too nuts in it.

Damnit, I found a really good deal on a brand new SC8e.. $425 shipped instead of the normal $600+shipping. Its almost too good to be true but, I talked to the guy on the phone and it seems legit. Ahhh! Decisions!

Are there any Nay-Sayers out there? Would it be a poor decision to pickup the SC8e? It seems to fit my criteria well but, it seems they arent that popular with the "racers" because not enough people are racing them. It would save me hundreds of dollars over the savage and the RC8te.

Whatchu think?

When it come's to adding another rc to the stable, IMHO it's never a bad idea... my wife disagrees with this statement but what the hell... nobody's perfect.

What's the ground clearance? Again, I think it depends where you run it.

There SC8 tires aren't any taller really than buggy and shortcourse tires. :) But you could always slap on a RC8T shell and some truggy/MT tires and fix that.

If you get the SC8, I have an extra SC8 body you can have cheap though.
