Hpi wr8

Bullet ST flux and 3.0 nitro are $350 and $330 so I don't see this being much more other than licensing for the body and tires/wheels.

HA I have found new bodies for my old rally now. Here's the specs on the old car: HPI Racing - Super Nitro RS4 Rally Spec Sheet

Specs for the WR8:

Chassis length 485mm
Width: 227mm
W/B: 300mm
Height: 172mm

So you'll be able to use the old Super nitro bodies, well at least the 300mm ones like the Lancer EVO, Subaru, and some others I cannot recall. I hope HPI makes new bodies other than the Fiesta.

I already have the Subaru, Lancer, and a Tamiya Corolla rally hatchback body and older subaru body. I wish I'd bought more since tamiya had them on sale for less than $10

Wish I knew the tire/wheel size, look like they are the same ID on both sides of the rim so that's good. Maybe a little wheel trimming may be needed.

Want it in the worst way, but I'm just going to have to wait for a kit or electric version/conversion.

I may or may not have heard officially that HPI will be releasing a Brushless version after the nitro is out. And that the nitro and brushless were designed at the same time.

Yeah knowing they make an 1/8 electric powerplant I assumed an electric version would be made. Not sure what I hate more, running nitro or waiting for the electric haha!

Saw this the other day , and wanted it ! Even nitro , which I ran for many years and have tried to stay away from , I think the smoke and noise would be perfect for this . It will be in my shop , divorce or no divorce :)

Nice find Nate!"thumbsup"

I have been looking almost every day and that is the first I have seen.

I hope that is true, if it is that should mean the BL is only a month or two behind it.

I hope 2/14/12 is true. But an online hobby shop in the UK isnt really a reliable source. Could just be a ploy to generate pre-orders?

Does anyone know if they will be releasing the Nitro and the Flux at the same time? If not, any idea on how far apart they will be?

I was told by the Designer of the WR8 that the BL version will be released after the nitro is out already, he couldn't give me dates. But all we really have to do is look at HPI trends to figure out how far behind the BL is from the nitro.

Just saw this on facebook:

Cool, Hope it doesn't come with those tires though and the white body. I want the WRC Abu Dhabi Fiesta!
