Hurricane Hills Crawler Park

Ok. I hope you have some block handy cause there expensive now! I have some wood we can use to frame things. Here in a few weeks well have a BBC (beer, build, and crawl) day here. Let's tentatively plan on the first BBC event on feb 5

ok sounds good. i dont have any block, so we'll just have use wood, and what ever else we can find

I'll get a load of rock too we can start placing

let me know when your ready, my trailor is a 7k pound cap so we can get a couple ton per load on it. and i know the tbss wont have any issues pulling it,

Sounds like you all have got things planned well

oh we still need you and everyone else to help unload that shit, and place it homie!!! dont think your getting out easy lol"thumbsup"

Lol I'll let ya know and you and I can run to shamblin that morning then everyone can meet here to help place it. Like I said I have a tractor with a bucket so that will help.

Made some good progress today. Got 2 trailer loads out of there. I got a guy coming to get some of the furniture soon. I still have to cut a hole through the back wall for a chimney for the stove, move a row of metal lockers dad wants to keep, and move 3 maybe 4 more loads out. Gonna keep working on it all this week and hopefully by next week it'll be ready and I can get us some heat in there. If anyone has access to coal I'll need a load for the furnace.

humm, dont know on the coal. but im ready to do some more crawling, so get to it. lol

So I have a source of pallets, as many as we need actually. I figure we'll rough in the layout with then the cover with rock and other materials. I'm thinking I may cut down a tree out back so we can incorporate that if we want to. If you all could start brainstorming as to what you could get that would be useful every bit helps. Were gonna need several rope bridges if anyone wants to work on that. Probably gonna need some wire mesh if anyone comes across it for free.

the pallets are deff a good idea. reed might be able to come up with some chicken wire, or wire mesh of some sort. im sure we can use some tree in there somewhere.

a good beefy hill climb sounds good too. Build it out of wood then use a bag or 3 of quik crete to make the roughness. u can also use small fire wood to hold the cement plus make it a steep incline

Definitely a good hill climb for the scale and comp trucks. I figure we can frame it with wood, put some mesh over it to help with terrain then ,mix it pretty thick and slap it on. I'd even like to have a dirt climb too maybe.

i cant make it on the 5th i have to take haden to monster jam at 12 for the pit party and the show starts at 2 so ill have to miss this damn it

the 5th is still tentative. I have several days more work to get it ready so it may be on the 6th. I'll be there both days seeing as how i live there. I'll let you guys know for sure later next week. Remember Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither will Hurricane Hills be.

I am still shooting for the weekend of the 5th to place pallets and shape the terrain. Beane and i will have a couple ton of rock there too.

Keep checking there for updates.
