i picked up a kit ax10 that has integy msr10 shocks and went with 10wt oil and the single hole pistons, i also cut the internal springs to get the ride height down i guess trying to run a partial droop setup, no limiter in it which i think it definately needs. the truck does well but seems way to soft and articulates a little too much also getting rear pivot bad when it does articulate the front. any suggestions on setup for these shocks or am i better off getting the losi 4" shocks. any help would be greatly appreciated.

easy and popular fix for those shocks is to wrap them up in a plastic bag and throw em in the trash..... and never mention owning them ever again because integy makes crap. get the losi's You will NOT be disapointed."thumbsup"

After running my rig and seeing many others perform at comps, etc, I would recommend the losi shocks, or like a set of Traxxas big bores. The Integy shocks won't last very long, at least the seals won't and they are more looks than perfomance. Running a standard sprung setup seems to perform better with the stock axial chassis than any kind of droop. Also, the shock oil. 10wt is REALLY thin. I run 1000wt diff oil in my shocks with 2 hole pistons in my traxxas big bores and it does really well. It could be thicker or a bit thinner depending on the driving style and terrain. Also running the HPI yellow soft springs in the front and the axial stock springs in the rear. Everyone is going to have their way of running it of course, but most that crawl alot will agree the integy MSR10's aren't the best performers.

Cheers,

Rob

thanks i really like the plastic bag idea lol. called lhs today and had him order in a set of losi shocks. until i get them i guess the stockers will do with the greens and stock springs. thanks:)

I bought mine Sunday afternoon. Sure, I had problems. What a pain. They look wonderful, and I like the idea of an internal spring.
However, I was shocked to find that they only have a 30mm stroke. Stock WK and AX10 shocks have 40mm !

I just blew 55 bucks.

well I just got this shocks . I put 32.5wt in front and 35.wt in back. I also have the swx. so far they are doing well. I dont throttle out when i get suck I just go slow and find the right line. I think this shocks work well with my style . I have a COMP next month. wish me luck !!:)

get rid of them! I just took mine off and went back to stock until I figure out what I want. I tried 4 different weight oils and all springs, even went with no oil and nothing helped. Move on, JMO

How very true of the MSR's they were biggest waste of money I have spent on my crawler so far. I bought the 4" Losi Crawler shocks, and I love em.

I don't run any oil in mine at all. I have them mounted laying flat down in the toolbox, and they work perfectly right there since they are indeed fairly pretty shocks. That's about all they're good for.
