Why after 3.5 years does this issue manifest?
I truly think that there is a lot of misinformation being given to social media by Tom and a lot of unfounded speculation by others.

As to any issue there is always 2 sides to a story. It doesn't seem right that after 3.5 years Tom decides to threaten to release files, and according to his social media posts he has already done so..... Any reasonable person would have taken care of his tool issue years ago rather then using social media as blackmail to do it 3-4 years later.

Reading Toms social media posts its rather obvious that he was sent a letter from an attorney to stop. It didn't seem to matter if you look at whats transpired after that.

Watching Toms social media progression, I truly believe that there is mental illness of one sort or another. Its texbook. I cant blame VP or Steve Brown for not responding in public. How do you respond properly to someone who isnt rational? Its reasonable to assume that they are properly doing what they need to do as any company or person would do in this situation.

There is a right way to do things and also a wrong way.
Dont assume no social media announcement is a sign of innocents or guilt. IMO,its a privet matter between parties.

I know jato you are not my biggest fan. But look at his own pictures of the texts he is posting, also ask him to post all of the texts, he did not finish it. Has a time stamp on them for you to see.

That's not true. I don't have any issues with you. I don't know you. Yeah, I've had my issues with VP over the years, but I own more VP products now than ever so take that for whatever it's worth to you.

Tom created the bed he is lying in. His choice in women compromised an amazing work situation with his own brother (James) and long time friend (Steve). Even Tom and James's own father was working at VP and may still be.

There is a lot more to this story that extends way behind the scenes and is not for public consumption. I'm uncomfortable evening posting this info, because it's truly not the public's business.

VP has been a pillar for the rc rock crawling community. They made crawler parts when no other aftermarket companies gave a shit for rock crawlers. The facilities at VP are even zero waste. They care enough for the environment to not add any trash to it, how many other RC companies can you say that for? Certainly none in China.

I hope that this post will help some of you to think in your higher adult brain. Remember that human beings can be mean to one another, and money can ruin any family, person, or situation when it's allowed to be the ruler.

No, He was part of a team at that time. They all had a roll in development.
The team consisted of several of his family members, and others, many that are still there today.

Did you forget that a lot of posters on this thread, including myself, are your customers? Insulting your customers is more irresponsible than anything else that has been posted in this thread.

They have the right to do anything they want, but they risk pissing off customers.
Most companies get that no matter what they do they are bound to piss off customers when they odfer opinion.
