I have seen a bunch of electric sand rail builds but never a gas/jato build so I decided to make one.

I have been working on it for a while and will post pics of the build.

It has:
aluminum suspension arm
Jato 3.3 Motor
Integy piggyback shocks
Cell phone holder seats
Parma Hemi V8

Beginning Pics

Here are some beginning pictures:

Frame

Here are a few pictures of the frame. I took everything off to clean it up a little.

I have added move bracing since these pics. My plan was to build it with as few tubes as needed to get everything positioned. Then I would go back and brace it.

More to come soon.

cool build. i love watching these custom builds, i just always get turned off by the fact that everyone spends to much time and effort, yet takes the easy way out with electric.

I have replaced all plastic parts with silver aluminum with the exception of the transmission.

Does anyone know where to get an aluminum transmission for the Jato?

Here are some pictures of how it currently sits.

I have installed the new head, air filter, pipe and lights. There is more bracing soldered on. I have a few pieces that are just taped on.

I am going to build a few more braces then take it apart to solder them on.

One thing I still have to do that is going to be a pain is making the exhaust pipes for the Blown Hemi. The pipes that came with the motor are for drag cars.
