Howdy folks,

Like to share my on going Jeep build with you guys. Hope you all like and shower me with constructive critics.

First a little story about my Jeep. Took over this project from another builder, wanted to build a Jeep cj for a long time but needed to have a cool homemade chassis. Didn't want to go with a RC4WD SWB or a rcmodelex version.
Then this chassis pops up so I couldn't let it passes. The former owner did a great job on the Jeep but can't find any inspiration afterwards so I'll give it a try.

Enough talk and let's post some pictures. First a few build pic from where it started before it came to me.

First picture was on its former boss.

And on my bench.

Haven't do any weighting yet, need to do some mod/change to it but aiming to get it as heavy as I can

First, getting rid of the red cage. Overall painting was not as good as expected so let's strip the whole thing.

Aahh yes, cold Steel I love it but unfortunately not stainless so let's paint it before it gets rusty.

A buddy of mine helping me out.

Niceeeeee black.

Next job is to camo some of the links, hiding those brass tubing using heat shrink tubes. Lower links will be changed with rc4wd aluminium ones. It needs to be all black.

Changed...

Much better if I may say so..

This is a very cool build. Your fab skills are way above mine, keep up the good work, and keep posting!!! "thumbsup"

LOL. I haven't done anything yet beside switching some links so not sure witch skills I suppose to have above yours mate. ;-)

Always wanted to do a CJ also...one of these days. I got a Willys to get up and running then a JK8...Gotta add a CJ!

That's a big list Fr8ture! Hope to see your cj one day.

Anyway, here's more progress. Have some used SDI round fenders lying around and found it looks quit cool on it.

Now for the wheels and tires, here it standing on my favorite MT 1.55. It looks nicely scale.

Or maybe the 1.7 Mickey Thompson

Eventually when for the Gearhead 1.9 Trail King with MT. Painted all black. This size makes it easier to trail

Brass rock slider for body protection.

Cutting away a couple of ugly details to replace them with nicer ones.

Door handles.

Inner door panels.

Giving the doors a bit of thickness with milliput.

More update. Made a new brass rear spare carrier to replace the old one.

Me own "Samurai" jack stand.

....and jerrycan.

your doing some great work! I love the hood and grill. JMO but it looks like the front axle needs pushed forward and the rear needs to by extended back. Overall killer rig so far"thumbsup"

Fab two brace to keep the seats firmly.

Now they're in the right place..

Placing the seat goes like this...

Tighten mid section with M2

Seat in place...

Again M2 for tightening..

Driver in, M2 in the but, he ain't gonna go no where
