Jeremy's Sporty

Well, that tells me enough of a story to go with that compound. If the softest compound isnt so soft that it doesnt work down in Hot Texas, it should be fine up here in Jerz. "thumbsup"

Hot? Hell, it's supposed to be in the 40's this weekend.

A few pics I snapped yesterday. This is a pretty nasty wedge that can easily swallow a tire when crossing it...and it comes in at a downslope. I drove straight into it. Then I backed into it. Then I drove through it. This tire and foam setup had no problems!!

Good looking rig. Makes me want to get inspired to do some work on my old shafty.

Thanks for working out the foam setup for me. :)

I just ordered yet another set of wheels to carve up so I can give these voodoos's a try on my rigs. Heaven forbid I take one of my other wheel sets apart to try them. I'm just too lazy. :p

I finally have a number of battery packs on these new VooDoo tires from Ottsix and I must say......I LOVE them! I was shocked at how big they seemed when compared to the Sedonas I have been running on this truck since I built it, but I think most of that is just appearance. These tires have a taller sidewall and shorter lug than the Sedona.

Either way, I was not sure what foams to run. I had seen guys try single stage, two stage CC with rings and such. None of those setups felt right to me. I was looking at my wraith and noticed that the PB Rock Beasts II's were only a hair taller than these tires, so I robbed the foams out of the Rock Beasts and simply removed the outer ring....which means that I am running a 6.0" CC Inner and a 5.5 open outer (medium rear, soft front) on my VooDoo Gold Dots. I have several battery packs on this setup and I am really liking it so far. Excellent sidewall support and the tread compresses about 1/2" before hitting the inner, which is perfect.

Here's a pic of this setup next to my PBRBII:

And a pic of the truck as it sits (currently at 4lb 2oz):

These tires have MASSIVE forward bite. They hook the rock around here very well.

I'm glad I stumbled across this.
I have been toying with different foams thus week and haven't found anything that seemed to pass the "feel" test.

I started tearing my PB rock beasts down as well to Rob the 6" foams out of them.

Thanks for the info Jeremy. "thumbsup"

And now that I've got the foams figured out in this truck, I can run a set of these wheels:

This truck is now down to 3lb 13.9oz.
