Jeremy's Sporty

I made a few changes to this truck. I'd like to thank Rowdy for his help with this project! "thumbsup"

This chassis uses stock link geometry, but has had the shock mounts adjusted to run 3.5" shocks, but keep the same shock angles.

Stock GC sideplates = 1.6oz
New sideplates = 0.8oz

There will also be some weight shed because of the shorter shocks. I'll have a weight difference when I get home from work today.

Here is the final setup (missing a chassis brace at the top):

Well, the truck lost 1oz with the side plate swap...I was expecting more, but I am happy that most of what was lost was sprung weight.

I hope to have this truck and these mods finished up soon son that in can start practicing with it.

And here is a finished pic with the old body:

This truck now weighs 4lb 9.5oz. Right around the same weight as my 2.2pro rig.

Oh, while I had everything torn apart, I chunked the crunchy Futaba servo and installed a 7950 set at 7.4V....a setup that has worked well for me in other trucks.

A MUCH cooler body will soon be trimmed to fit the new specs and mounted on this truck.

Testing tomorrow. "thumbsup"

What new specs?

Dammit, forgot that doesn't apply to the S class.

So does that mean some judges are still gonna complain that the stock width of my body is not wide enough, despite the fact that he runs the same body?
