Here's a video taken at a comp a while back...just got around to editing it.

Well I've finally started thinking about an interior. I got the clear windshield and rear window installed. The side windows will stay open. The bench seat is just stuck in there for the photo but I think it looks pretty good. I'll install it after I get the dash done. I decided to go with a blue interior. Not very common on here but my dad used to have a truck like this and his interior was blue. Ahhh the 80's.
So a little bit of an update. I haven't made any progress on the interior since the last photos. Today I felt like brazing! So the first thing I did is lower the body a touch. I only got about 5mm out of it so it isn't all that noticeable but there wasn't any more room. I've always liked how Cory (at The Scale Shop) had his chocolate love body. It's nice and low and I've always felt mine was too tall.
Anyway, back to the brazing. When I lowered the body the sliders were up above the bottom of the door. How can you open a door like that? You can't! (forget that the doors are plastic and don't open anyway, I'm pretending here) So I modified my sliders so the upper rail is gone. I also pulled them in a little closer to the body which I think looks much better.
Here you can see the modified slider. I added an extra brace since I'd cut the original welds.
In this photo you can see what they looked like before...
And here you can see them tucked up nicely against the body. MUCH BETTER!
I think I'll leave them bare metal so they'll rust...maybe even add a little accelerator to that. All done, my body has a bit of a twist in it for some reason causing my sliders to not align with it perfectly. Today's work allowed me to fix that. While they may not look perfectly straight on the chassis, they match up with the body when it's on.
I also started to work on the headache rack that I've been planning for months now and just never got around to doing. I'm using 1/4" key stock for main frame.
It's getting there. I decided it was time to stop and watch some football! I should finish it tomorrow.

Alright so I got my headache rack almost done today. Brazed in some support posts.
Brazed on some tabs to sit below the toolbox and a front plate to drop down between the toolbox and the rear wall of the bed.
I was concerned about how sturdy this would be should it take a hard hit. I could see it bending. So I added some plates to the front and cut slots between the cab and the bed for them to slide into. Then I ran some screws threw them. That should hold it!
I want this thing to be completely rusted out but I used stainless brake line tubing for the center supports. I grabbed my bottle of sophisticated finishes rust and painted the thing. All that's left is to let it sit for a day or so and apply the rust accelerant.
Here it is with just the rust paint, it just looks like junky gray paint. It will look a lot better once it starts to rust. I think the rack turned out pretty nice all in all. I also should help protect the top of the cab some in a roll over.
