Just another plow truck...

it will make shoveling the snow a little less boring:ror:
i really like the utility box, looks good, it is all styrene

Cool plow "thumbsup" you might want to change the plow springs for stiffer ones. It will help the blade from folding over.
Keep up the good work.

Very true. I don't think anybody knows more about snow plows than our Canadian neighbors LOL! "thumbsup"

I even mentioned that in the YouTube movie's description...

Axial SCX10 Honcho based Heavy Duty Fleet Truck with custom utility bed and custom 3-dimentional plow.
It still needs a few adjustments and stronger tow-under springs, but this was the first run, and I wanted to take it easy on her anyway.
I also have a lot of detail parts to put on, but that is something I want to do after all the testing.
I don't want all the little things getting broken off while I am doing the final adjustments......

I'll tell you though, I am having a hell of a time finding the right tension springs. The ones on it now I bought 20 years ago from a dollar store in a multi pack, so I have no idea what the specs are to get better ones,
and the hardware stores in my area are a joke anyway.

I actually built this plow about two years ago just to push around packing peanuts on the carpet inside the house so I could have fun during the winter. (but the Fleet truck it is on now is a brand new project, not yet fully completed)

The springs were fine for that, but last winter I decided to test it outside on the real deal, out in my yard on a track I "board stomped" to pack it down hard so I could run all my scalers in real-time conditions.

I maintained this track with this plow all last year,
even with the weak under-tow issues,
provided we did not get 6 inches of snow in an hour
as is common here on the East coast at times LOL!

What I did 10 minutes after taking this video was to run down to our local Rite Aid pharmacy, and in the hair care section I bought a package of the tiny rubber bands the girls use to tie off their hair braids.

I think these bands are going to do the trick for me,
they hide nicely behind the springs, and will be highly adjustable as I can just add or subtract the bands to
suit the conditions.

I actually want a bit of under-tow to happen,
it adds to the scale realisim factor while operating the system.

But you were spot-on, in seeing the fault.
It was takeing away from the realisim I am enjoying so much running the system as a whole,
with its soft reaction to a weak resistance.
