Kaetwo's review of the new Axial Wraith

Thanx for the info,
What I meant is I am planning to buy a Scx10 and mod it to a Land Rover D90 or Jeep Wrangler, just want to know can I do the same thing if I buy a Wraith and put it on Scx10's C-channel frame? thanx!

With enough work, anything can be done, but it wouldn't be the same rig. The shock towers, battery mount, etc...are all part of the cage work.

Does that make sense?

I'm sure theres a way but I wouldn't bother doing so if that's what your looking to do try doing something like this rig.

That's kinda what I meant to say it's would be the same. Axial did all that designing on the rig there's no need to put the SCX-10 chassis.

Thank you Kaetwo and dubAron,

On Axial official web site, it says " 2.4GHz, 2 channel pistol grip radio" and "3-channel" receiver???
Is rear end the only place to put the battery?
Do I need an external BEC if I change the 20t motor to a 45t or 55t to do more crowling?
thanx!

i want to like the wraith but the body isn't doing it for me. it'll be interesting to see the aftermarket body options that'll become available for it in time.

The radio is a 2 channel radio and the receiver is indeed a 3 channel. Why? I have no idea. Maybe there will be an upgraded radio from Axial available that will allow Dig since the tranny is preconfigured for it.........

As far as a BEC, I don't think that you will need an external one as the specs for the stock ESC are really good. I would wait, and run the rig first, and if you notice that it stalls/amps out, then move onto a BEC.

Thank you kaetwo,
"Auto-Lipo,if you’re going to use a NiMH battery, be sure to turn this to “Off”, can I turn it off and do other setting manually on esc? or they had to be done through castle link->pc?
thanx!

Unfortunately you can only make the adjustments using the Castle Link via a computer.

Thank you Harley,
Would it be OK if I using a 2s battery?
thanx!

If you are using the stock servo and running 2s you are fine. If you upgrade the servo to something stronger it is recommended to use a BEC.

Thank you very much Axial!

It comes with a 3 channel rx because...well tell me how similar it is with this radio

http://www.hobbypartz.com/fs-gt2-24ghz-radio-black.html

Flysky doesn't make a 3 ch radio that supports 3 pos 3rd channel, so i doubt there will be an axial rtr radio that'll support dig unless its just a 2 pois dig.

That looks just like the Axial radio, so you maybe right about that.

I have been wicked swamped with work lately so I haven't had the time to test the binding with another radio, but I'll get to work on that this weekend.

Hope that you don't mind I'm gonna use this as my desktop background, That's a sexy picture. Lol. And it'll keep me motivated to get one.

Thanks. Lol

I will also say that Kaetwo's review is spot on.

This thing is HOT!!!
