Well, the wife and I have been itching to get one of these Keurig coffee makers. They are pretty cool as they are a single cup coffee maker that uses little coffee filter type cups filled with coffee grounds and brew a cup in just a few seconds.

If anyone out there has one, Have you found any certain flavors that you like and maybe ones to avoid?? The "K" cups as they are called are about .50 cents a piece and I just don't want to buy 20 bucks worth of crap coffee.

My wife and I like the Caribou blend, Gloria Jeans mudslide and hazelnut. We had the Tassimo two years ago before we made the switch to Keurig and we are glad we did, more coffee choices. Keep and eye out on Amazon....You can get it for as low as .20 cents a piece which beats the Tassimo which is about a $1 a piece.

If you like a strong brew, Newman's Own extra bold is the ticket. I also like the Donut Shop when I want something a little less intense.

I've been wondering the exact same thing. I got one for christmas, and I absolutely love it!

I've been looking at all the different varieties, and have no idea what I want to spend the $ on. what I love, tho, is that at Keurig.com-- many flavors come in sample packs with just 6 of them for about 4$ for the box. I haven't bought any yet, since we'll be moving soon and don't want to cart around a bunch of extra little boxes of k-cups.

Get the brewer itself at Costco. it comes in a package with 5 boxes of k-cups (12 cups each box) one of which is a variety box, and a little converter thing so you can use your own ground coffee in the keurig, for about 150$.

and register the brewer at keurig.com--they send you a coupon code to get 2 free large boxes ( 22 k-cups) free with the purchase of 2 boxes.
but wait! there's more! :lmao: if you buy your k-cups at keurig.com, you can sign up for their coffee club or whatever its called and immediately get 10% off of cups.
I haven't done enough shopping around to know if this is the best deal or not yet, but I'll be ordering my first few boxes from them since I have the 2 free boxes code thing.

got one

Got one and the first thing we added was the filter that you could put your own grounds in..... "thumbsup"

Bought one for the wife and she loves it (I hate coffee but some teas are nice) She loves the Kona coffee. The machine comes with a book that has all the flavors and brands so I bought a multi pack of I think 45 for $20 and that was the best deal so you can see what you like the best just my .02

Cool coffee maker..I'm a coffee lover that will take fresh bean any day over anything already ground up..Fact is that is that as soon as you grind the bean it starts loosing its freshness (approx 4 days then its starts to loose its fresh qualities) as opposed to the bean which will stay fresh for months as long as its in an air tight container.I just grind enough for the day at one time. Also dont keep your coffee in the freezer..Dry,dark cupboard is best"thumbsup".

One more thing..Flavoured coffee is gay:flipoff:

My wife got one about 6 months ago the platinum one and we love it the Vanilla biscotti, breakfast blend, Hazelnut, these are some good ones

Well, got the coffee maker a few hours ago and have had a few cups, It comes with a sampler pack and the Extra Bold French Roast is strong as HELL! I had a Gloria Jeans Hazelnut first and that was pretty good.

I'm gonna order the cups online at www.keurig.com once you register your brewer, you get pretty decent deals online with free shipping. I'm gonna browse the sampler till I find one I like and try a few others too.

Thanks for the responses so far, I've been wanting the try the Donut shop coffee. I think I'll have that one in the morning.

Damn this thing is convenient!"thumbsup"

Donut shop is great. I liked the french roast. I also drink it black with no sugar or no creamer. I had to buy the my k cup dispenser for i could brew my starbucks cafe verona. I love this coffee maker my parents and several friends have them. So with my christmas money i bought one.

We got one for a wedding gift and use it all the time. The mochas are really good along with the donut house stuff. The iced coffees and iced teas are also pretty damn good. I have a bunch of cups in flavors we dont drink, ill see how many there are if someone wants them just pay for shipping. I may even have enough for 2 care packages. Ill post up in the am.

I'd be happy to take those cups off your hands for you. "thumbsup" I don't really care what flavors they are, since I'm in the trying new k-cups phase. If there are ones I don't like I'll pass them on to someone else.

we could get a decent exchange going... then I wouldn't be as nervous about buying ones I don't like, could just offer them up for the price of shipping to someone who wants to try them. win-win situation...

Perfect :D

I'll be buying some more tonight, since my coupon thing for registering expires tomorrow. you may get a box next week! "thumbsup"
