keurig machines.

There are people I work with that can't even do that

I was thinking about a Keurig for my girlfriend's birthday, but we went away for the weekend instead. I'd still like to get one, and I like the option of using your own coffee since we roast a lot of our own beans as well. Might have to look into one of these to replace the French Press.

We found a new but used one on eBay last year for under $100 and it works great, then I found this thrift shop that has Starbucks pods for $5 a box. We also use the reusable pods to. It all works out great, the wife wanted this and I want crawlers, were both happy "thumbsup"

This is my favorite for our Keurig. Revv coffee. Its a pretty bold coffee with a bit of a spicy note at the end. i like mine with just a touch of sugar

Holy crap.. that Miele is $2000!! Wayyyyy to much money for this cheap ass.

Yeah, trust me. I know. Like I said, we waited six years to get one. But I have to say there was no "buyer's remorse" with this thing. It's just that much better.

Miele CM5100 Espresso Machine | Williams-Sonoma

exactly my thoughts, though i can see where the money goes from JIA's description of the machine. if you want the best in push button coffees, its not cheap.

Not 100% sure that this is "the best", but it's definitely a nice unit. We shopped around quite a bit before finally making the purchase.

With the same beans the taste of the coffee from this machine is far beyond anything else we've had. No comparison.

This is the last coffee maker we had. Although it would grind and brew down to two cups at a time, if you had 10 cups of water in the machine it would grind beans for two cups and brew all 10 cups of water. I learned that the hard way.

What that meant was that each time you made coffee you had to add only the amount that you wanted to brew each time you brewed. It was also a drip machine so the flavor was nothing like the Miele, which operates as a french press at 15 bar.

One of my wife's coworkers is from Jamaica so she will get us some Jamaican Blue every time she goes home (much cheaper there $12/lb there vs. $45/lb here). It never lasts long.

Kona coffee is easy to get here in Hawaii, so we get that quite often.

Wife came home with some new stuff one day. I tasted it, asked her what it was, and she said "Kama Sutra."

"Really? Where did you get this?"

"Costco."

"Um....were they giving out free samples?"

It was Sumatra. NOT Kama Sutra. :lmao:

If you have a Sam's near you Paul Newman's special blend extra bold is really good (especially if you like Yuban). If you brew your own, I suggest grinding it between coffee and espresso grinds...espresso is a little too fine but coffee grind isn't fine enough for the reusable cup.

FYI - if it ever breaks just call them up and they'll send you another one (regardless if it's out of warranty). I had one go out after 2 years and a guy at work told me to call them...I did and they sent me one (just had to send the pod holder back).

The wife bought one and I quit drinking coffee at home. I like the Dunkin coffee, but I had to load it twice to get it anywhere near strong enough for my liking. Once i used 2 pods a morning, plus cream and splenda it is just cheaper to run down the street to the gas station and get the coffee I like. The rest of the fam loves it.

That's exactly why I don't get one for the house. We have a keurig at work and I have to load it twice to get a cup to taste strong enough for me. I still use a regular coffee maker at home, although sometimes I do crack out the french press and have a few cups that way. I only drink coffee at home on the weekends and days off, and I just can't justify the expense of a keurig at home.
