Dump the Mamba max..brake sucks...not enough for the bully...IMO
FXR would be a better choice....better brakes and a lot lighter !

i already have it was using it on my last bully seemed ok. but i'll take it under advisement.

Anyone running a bj v3? how long are the links.

I am doing a similar build.....and was about to build my links this weekend. From what I have found, the correct lower link lengths are 5-1/16" rear and 5" front.

And the steering is XIRTIC.

EDIT: I just cut/mounted my links this weekend. 5-3/16" rear lowers and 5" front lowers. I am hitting just at 12-1/2" WB in the suspension cycle.

Also.......what are you going to use for dig? PunkDig? RC4WD Dig? Switches? You could pickup a pair of Mamba Micro Pros for +/- $130. This would shave some weight, save some space, and provide some flexibility depending on your radio system. Just curious about what you are planning.

if i chose to change from single brxl and run 2 mamba micro pros, coule i still use dx3e or would i need 4 channels? I am running brxl and was going to use punk dig, but I really like the flexibility of 2 esc's.

You don't need 4 channels, it helps, but you do need a radio that will allow channel mixing and switch assignment such as a Futaba 3PK/S or Spektrum DX3R.

I didn't think my DX3R would do the mixing so I ended up getting a Novak M2 which still requires a third channel mixing and switch assignments. Basically it is two ESCs in one case. So far it has been performing well but as typical for Novak a pain to program.

If you already have the DX3E or R, a vendor on here " wantasummit " sells a proportional dig setup that will work with the E or R radio. Kwikride has tested it and it's working very good. I"m going to see it in action at today's comp.
That said, ditching that radio for a 3PK/S is the best bet for a crawler radio that can mix the snot out of what ever you need a crawler to do if it only needs 3 ch. I run a 3PKS on my twin FXR'd Bully since all the functions are the same as the 4PK, but it only uses 3ch, which is all a 2.2 MOA needs.
Nice thing about the 3PK is that you can use a Spectrum module (which I am using) and not have to change out all the rx's from other rigs if you've got a few extra. 4PK & 4PL are deticated Futaba rx systems now.

i'll keep it in mind thanks for the link length is that for bent or straight links? also what degree are they bent? and how long are the uppers?

ok well I tooks a few pics

Looking good. The mamba with punk will continue to work great for you Im sure. Enough break to keep the back locked at all times is enough, which it did on your last rig, even a little less would be ideal.

ya man i agree. I am kinda anxious to get it all finished up.

how many of ya run the rod links with stainless sleaves?

alright finally got it in roller form. skid is at 3.25" links are temporary as the permanent ones will be made from 5/16 black delrin.

put it and all my electronics on the scale battery and all and I will be about 5lbs 12oz rtr

on to the pics.
