Sorry, but with all due respect, I hate to see peeps with the wrong info or or worse pass it on. RRP is Robinson Racing Products.:flipoff:

Its not really a big deal, but I have found it to bother me much more since I have been working at my LHS. Peeps constantly coming in and giving wrong companies and getting terms mixed up, even passing on terrible info to other customers. So now I make it in my best efforts to correct them, so they dont develop bad habbits, or pass along foul info (not that getting a name wrong is terribly wrong,).

Jason

products....pinions same fawkin difference :flipoff:

so maybe you should see if we can find a contact for them since you work in a LHS

Would be nice!!

Would be nice to get ahold of some. I know it has been done and actually someone on this site that does manufacturing and milling is gonna start making them. I cannot remember which guy. So obviously it can be done.

a 9 tooth should be possible, the motor shaft just wouldnt be able to go thru the entire pinion...might not be as strong (due to the moment put on the shaft), but possible. no?

about those 10 tooth pinions, i would kill for one of those, or 11, whichever. are 11's easier to come by, if so where!!!!!?

this what i found at tower www.towerhobbies.com:

what is ur problem i just posted a pic of the 9 tooth i found?

ROFLMAO
Honestly, the problem is that we all know that they are available in 32 pitch, this thread is about a 48 pitch 9T pinion that would fit on a 1/8" motor shaft. GRRRRR!!!!!

And if you look close enough....you posted another picture of that 90 pitch red x again. We've already seen a picture of that :flipoff:

Who'd have thought that something that seems so simple to clarify would still be going?

Sorry guys - It's my fault, because work is such a pain right now and I need something to make me laugh.

It also gives me an opportunity to test out the theory:
Ignorance can be cured. Stupid is Forever.......;-)

MIP also manufactured 10T 48P pinions. Here is a picture of the instruction sheet:

I just emailed RRP this
To whom is may concern,
I am looking for what I believe was a limited number production of 10 tooth 48 pitch pinion gears by your company some years ago. They were made for a customer by the name of Doc Wildman, his company was called Radical Midwest Chassis Designs. I recently acquired some of these through a member of a popular radio control monster truck forum under the name RCMT.net. I bought his last remaining pinions and the seller told me that Doc Wildman had them specially made from you guys. A recent conversation has come up on another popular forum by the name of Rccrawler.com(http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37655). I am 1badjeepbruiser on there and I am one of the moderators. I mentioned that 10 tooth pinions were once made and there seems to be a large interest in them. On RCC we are able to purchase a vendors star to sell items, so my questions is to you guys, if you indeed did made these pinions gears what are the odds of doing another production run? I would like to be a distributor of them on the site. Do you guys do special orders like this? If so how many would I need to order to make it worth it for you guys to take the time to do this? What would be the approximate cost? RC rock crawling is growing very fast in popularity and the need for lower gear ratios is something that is very important for us enthusiast to get our trucks to do what we need them to do. A lot of us are using the Traxxas stampede transmission and the lowest tooth 48 pitch pinion gear available to us right now is 12 tooth. We as a community on RCC would love to see some more options available to us. As it looks, the smallest you can go is 10tooth, but we would also like to see an 11tooth as well and if there was away to go smaller, and 8 and 9 tooth would be popular as well. Look forward to hearing back from you guys

Thank you
Mike Lohmann
RCC STAFF and community

Have to wait and see what they write back:) Keep fingers crossed

yeah i was talking about 48 pitch. so nobody knows where to get an 11 or 10 i take it.

I realize that the SEARCH function on this site is highly overrated :) , so I ventured out to Google and with a little digging (about 10 mins worth) and found a few sites by simply typing 48 pitch 10t rc pinion. That should get you started.

The standard motor has a 1/8" or 3mm shaft so, in theory, these might work for you. Have fun, spend $4, and motor on!!!!!

It looks like the 1st two would have to pressed on to motor, PIA for me since I service my motors often (cut comms, RR Brushes) and the ones from HPI I think are 64pitch.
