looking for hardtops

is there any one that makes hard tops wrangler bodys hpi or custom for hardbodys i dont care for the looks of soft tops styrene and i dont get along its fude that always get messy for some odd reason any help will be grealy apresiated

Dude, working with styrene is EASY. Got an x-acto and a pair of scissors? You're set. Go to your LHS, get about $8 worth fo styrene sheet and some styrene glue, and GO FOR IT! "thumbsup"

It's a whole lot easier than you think, trust me.

my minds eye cant consever curves and all to well when we used to have a slot car track in my town i tryed making a tail for my 69 carmo didnt go well but hell i could make diaplanes like a champ but i do belive i came up with an idea for making a hard top i just hope styrene it strong enough not to break or with stand some crashing with out breaking beacuse the the thinner it get more flexible and fragile it get but yes i am gona give it try... i mind wonders why to much at work for to sit ideal at home

Styrene is like working with soft plywood that has no grains. Sands easy, cuts easy, glue melts pieces together solid.

Styrene is soooooo much cooler than those gay soft tops. You should really build a styrene top for yourself. It's super easy.

Styrene is easy to work with if you want it built for durability use the .080 stuff Ive rolled my Bronco several times and never damaged it. Styrene flexes pretty well before it will break.

isnt that a tad bit to tick for molding i guess i could heat it up a bit with good ol sun shine if central coast cali ever gets some! or if the lhs around finaly gets there sales permit man i am surpised there still going with over 2 1/2 months with out getting anything in

you dont bend it, you glue it together. then shape it.

You won't "mold" it, just create the rough shape you want (build up layers if you have to for rounded corners, etc) and then just file and sand to shape.

have the HPI Rubicon body from what it will look like it will fit my TLT axles nice and dandy but i am loving the look of the new bright jeep body from killa stang ss's build thread it looks like he has stock TLT axles under his what do you guys think what would look better with stock lenght TLT axles?

TLT axles would look great under both shells. Really just a matter of the tire size you want. If it's a 1.9'er go with the New bright.
