I ordered one yesterday, and got this answer:
Losi just informed us that there are complications with the crawler so the release date will be postponed until mid to late June. I do apologize for the delay but this is out of my hands, we too are anxiously awaiting the release.

Is this true??

I hope this is not true:shock:......i have been waiting since december! I have been waiting patiently but i am starting to get a bit antsy.:shock:

Horizon dealer site still says 5/27 for ETA. Let's hope they meet that deadline, otherwise I know more than a few people that will be upset.

Vid was awesome, I was on a business trip with no access to internet, I had to go through the yellow page called my LHS to be place on the list to get on of those thing.

i am 99.8% sure the entire first batch is spoken for. the early june date would be the time the second batch is shipping.

called my LHS and they called horizon... since my LHS only ordered 2 they were moved off what they called the "promo list" and will be getting the comp crawlers the next go around... ETA was 3 weeks

I think that's BS. That's totally F-ked up to do that.

NOT TRUE AT ALL. Half the shipment is on the way to the distribution center in Champaign, IL. Once they arrive there, they will begin to ship to dealers. My best guess is Wed they will start going out.
As for international orders, I know that some of the International distributors have Crawlers on the way to them but I'm not sure how long it takes for them to ship to dealers.

There are no problems and nothing holding back the shipment. These will be on the way to dealers next week.

I should also add that the first shipment are completely spoken for. There is another shipment coming not long after that one. I'm not sure exactly how Horizon breaks up the shipments, but I know they try to make sure ever dealer that ordered one by a certain date will get at least one.

NOT TRUE AT ALL. Half the shipment is on the way to the distribution center in Champaign, IL. Once they arrive there, they will begin to ship to dealers. My best guess is Wed they will start going out.
As for international orders, I know that some of the International distributors have Crawlers on the way to them but I'm not sure how long it takes for them to ship to dealers.

There are no problems and nothing holding back the shipment. These will be on the way to dealers next week.

Called CKRC yesterday and they said mid to late June and I have had my order placed with them since 12-24-08 :shock:... But I have waited this long a couple more weeks wont hurt...They also said that they were expecting 70 units..

They are not bumped, just depends when they placed the orders. I have seen when shops ordered and initially I think with the economy a lot were holding back. Now I'll be dead honest in saying that I do not know the exact procedures, but the one thing I do know is that Horizon tries to be as fair as possible with their dealers. I seriously doubt they would just move a shop down the list because of some "bigger' shop.

I don't know how many my LHS's have ordered, but it would be a shame if they got bumped down for only ordering 4 or what ever they did.

I remember with the Mini Rock Crawler, we had more back orders that what we received. What they did is break it up by how many your ordered. If a shop ordered 12, they got 4, if a shop ordered 4 they may have received 2 and the others received at least 1 or more. I can't remember exactly but it kind of worked like that.
