I just wanted to thank everyone on this site for the information. I found this site 2 weeks ago and started building my chasis based on the info here. I made the chasis out of 1/8" plate and the links are 1/4" rod. The wheelbase is at 18" and the center clearance is 5". I'm still waiting on my shocks to come in so for now I'm using the stock clod shocks :) They are obviously limiting the flex a little, but other than that, let me know if you see anything that looks out of place.

I made the upper link mounts and shock mounts and bought the steering setup from RCguy for independant 4WS. I've still got to make some motor mounts, wheel adapters/wideners, and body mounts, but I just wanted to get this thing going to test it out a little. Then I'll tear it back down, make any improvements needed, and polish it up a little. This is my first crawler so let me know if anything could be improved and thanks again for a great site.

Here's a side shot too although it's not too good. I'll get some better (non poser)pics outside when the weather clears up and my new shocks come in.

Jay,

I was wondering whether or not I needed one there, and after running it some I could see it flexing there (on both ends). I definitely need to do that. Thanks for your input man.
