OK, Integy 55t, Mamba Max, 11.1v 20C LiPo's, TQ3.

It stutters and sometimes just won't move when in reverse. The reverse light on the Max comes on, but the motor just won't turn. Steering the wheels seeems to make it worse also. Forward works fine with plenty of speed.
I've re-calibrated the ESC numerous times and played with the settings but still no luck.

Any ideas?

You are overloading the bec in the Mammba Maxx, you need a voltage regulator or the castle bec, or even a receiver pack will work if you need some weight.

Was the epa on your radio zeroed out when you did the calibration? Did you enable the reverse when programing? I know those are basic questions, It's easy to miss a step in there...I've had to reset it without the castle link a time or 2.

A 55t and a 645mg are overloading the Mamba?
Or is it the 11.1v LiPo thats the problem? I asked here before i put it together and was told there wouldn't be a problem.

Reverse does work, I just usually have to work the trigger back and forth several times before it starts moving.

Sounds like your TQ3 isn't giving a good neutral signal. Boink the throttle trim a little and see if it helps.

I don't think thats the case. Playing with the trim doesn't seem to help.
I get the yellow light in the neutral zone and the red when i trigger forward, like I'm supposed to, so that Max is getting the proper signals, it's just not powering the motor.

I'm on same boat. same motor 55t with Mamba Max. I know I need castle BEC for sure... need to order now since they are hard to get ....

First thing I would do is unplug the servo and try driving it in forward and reverse, just to see if it has anything to do with it.

double check you have esc set for 3 cell or auto. i'm running 3 cell 55turn and mega torque servo no prob. also make sure throttle reversed. good luck.

Cato..

I'm running 3 cell 1320 thunder power lipo. I used to ran 7cell 3000NiMH never had issue with my 4WS on my Axial but i seem to have issue with my server stalls. Usually I take the my Axial up and fixes. Also motor didn't want turn so either issue turning off and turn back on will fixes.

I have not try with my 2 cell 1320 thunder power lipo on same are I ran and if I get same issue

I been thinking about I may need Castle BEC but if I don't have with regular 7cell 3000NiMH what is the issue?

Intergy 55T will handle 12V

Sorry to hear you guys having problems,I ran 2 servos with an 8 cell 3500 MaH battery and had no problems except for low power at the servos.I now run a separate battery for the 2 servos and the max powers motor and receiver,a great way to set it up"thumbsup"

Your ESC is in the forward to brake to reverse mode, and you have correctly set your throttle endpoints? When you give it reverse does the motor hum any?
