Since MTRCRC is starting a XC/CC-01 class, I figured I would build up a truck for it. I wasn't going for a "super" scale rig, since it will probably get trashed. I picked up a used CC-01 off fleabay and had Mike at CrawlerGraphics throw some paint on it to represent a Land Rover G4 Challenge LR3. I scored some G4 Challenge decals off fleabay, also.
Here's a quick rundown on what it has:
-New Bright Land Rover LR3 painted with Model Master Go Mango orange by Crawler Graphics
G4 Challenge decals sourced off fleabay
Sand Ladders by Death Metal Garage
Rubber fender flares by SDI
Reign RC scale CB antenna
RC4WD 1.9 Mud Thrashers
RC4WD 1.9 OEM steel wheels painted black
RC4WD scale IFS locking hubs
Tekin FX-R ESC
CC BEC
Integy 55T motor
HiTec 5645mg steering servo
I still need to get a HiLift jack. I ordered a Hobby Gear set with the jack from RPP, but apparently it's on backorder:-( I'm also waiting on some 3Racing off road lights to show up for the roof rack and have a LED headlight/tail light set on the way, also.

The 1.9's look a little big. I'll probably switch to 1.55's at some point. I still need to find some mirrors for it. I posted in the wanted forum, so if you have a spare set, let me know;)

I wanted to add a spare tire carrier to the rear. I had a left over spare tire carrier when I hacked up the Pro Line CGR cage to add to my 1.9 Bronco. I know it doesn't look great, but this will be a comp/scale truck and didn't want to do anything fancy, knowing it will get beat on:lol: The 2 spare wheels are HPI stock car wheels and the spare tires are just High Lift tires.
Unimoger fabbed me up a new Pede drive shaft to replace the crappy one that came with it and he also helped me fab up a new 3 link for the rear like on the CC-01 YJ he picked up from kaetwo http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1934782&postcount=45

The only other mods I plan on doing for now is to get the new steering linkage kit from GPM.

wow, I never thought I would like 1.5's on a rig...but I think yours needs it...they look HUGE.

rig looks sweet thought...you putting a wench on it??

Ive been waiting for this since the body was first posted, nice work Matt...Are you going to have this at the UTRCRC event???

Ya, John... the tires do look big. These will have to do until I can afford some 1.55's.... Eventually it will get a winch. I have a friend who's gonna fab me up a new front bumper with mounts for a winch. It's not a high priority at this point, though:lol:

Ya, Unimoger told me were going to run these trucks in Utah, so I "rushed" to get it done:lol:
I have 2 rigs to run down there now8)

I need some of those little MSD decals...

Truck looks good Matt "thumbsup"

just got a pile of them in, " scale size "

Matt , rig looks killer, was great to see you and Mike yesterday, hope we can do that all winter long."thumbsup"

Thanks Ben, had a great time yesterday"thumbsup"

I ordered a set of LED headlights and tail lights from Bills Custom RC Lighting and got them installed. I decided to use a LED off road light bar I picked up from Zero Tolerance Manufacturing instead of waiting for those 3Racing lights to show up.
Didn't turn out too bad, still a little clean up needed where I hacked the roof rack to fit the light bar in.

I also mounted up my MSD Power Tank and moved one of my DMG recovery ramps to the other side of the roof rack. It helped even out the load so the truck wouldn't be too heavy to one side. I'm expecting my HyLift jack to arrive in the next day or so:mrgreen:

It's about as finished as it's going to get. I think I'm going to go with 1.55's and ditch the over-sized 1.9's....
