Maxx crawler solid axle aluminum beast buildup!

I'm trying usually plastic dye's in less than an hour of boilling water.
I've had this on for about 4-5 hours over boiling as high as my stove gets.

when i dyed my t maxx rpm arms to red i just set them in a pan and let them set over night for 24 hours thay came out a blood red and they look tight as hell:flipoff:

Well they have they have been in dye for over 24 hours. Heated for almost 5. I've tried all the tricks on line boiling, salt and vinegar.

I normally just boil it to disolve the dye then let them sit in it for however long they need to get dark enough. Looks good though.

It's almost done ya YA ya. This is after over 50 hours in dye and over 10 hours boiling.
Crawlerman I ran out ouf good hardware just the silver stuff is left.
Pics PICS

Cole82, forgot to tell you that stuff is a b*tch to dye!! I made a chassis for a guy here in town, 2 packs of black dye, 4 cups of water, and 1/2 cup of salt. Had to boil it for 7 hours (adding water when it boiled off) then let it sit in the pan for a day in the garage. That stuff is light but stupid strong, the guy you made it for will love it.

Here are a couple chassis I made out of that stuff:

This chassis is for DEZFAN, he hasn't seen it yet:lol:

My TLT. TLT chassis I built for me weights .72 pounds with the links, body mounts and servo/top link mounts. Been running it for 6 months, no breaks.

Yes, it seems to be great stuff!! Gooba, I think you will want one no matter what once you see it man.

Just finished up Carbon Fiber links, steering links, and solid axle lock links. Now its time to mount the electronics!;-)

it looks kool i'll give ya that but its gotta perform too. are you gonna post pics with electronics or make us wait? im curios about your batt mounting.

HEh HEh, maybe tomorrow.... maybe not. Yes it must perform, but yours must perform as well!! We shall see! :-P

So much for my world debut!

Nice Dez, Mister X chassis.
Gerame does real nice work.
Gooba don't worry, It will perform.
My stick crawler they said it was going to be a floppy noodle that won't work. You have seen how good it does.

Testing went really well. Zero torque twist. Crawled really well. He tried carbon fiber links. It didn't work out the best. Going back to the solid aluminum ones. Need to change the red springs out to the blue springs for even out the flex. Wow do the tires work goodd. They really grab the sharp rocks.
I'm happy with it.:)
I guess people don't like to post encouragement.
Pics! for the people

Looks good guys, if you had told me you were going to test it I would have haulled my a$$ off the couch to come see it. Guess i'll have to wait until tomorrow. Did the links fail completely, or do you just think they are not going to hold up over time? Can't wait till tomorrow.

Ya they broke on the first rock that hit the link. Split right in half. Do you have a RX pack that he could run?
