Yeah we steal each others stuff sometimes :ror: If his XR is running before I get mine going again I'll probably just steal it a couple times a day

Haha I got permission ;-) But yeah, we steal each others stuff from time to time... ok, more like day to day. But that's what bros are for right? He usually gets the better end of things

Yeah but not permission to ruin the RX leads on it

Oh come on Eve.. He would never do anything like that.

Mitchell, you have one good looking rig here brotha. I am a fan of the stingray and I am happy to see one on xr axles. The Hulksta wheels are going to look so bad ass on this thing. Keep up the good work mang!"thumbsup"

Yeah well you'd better post some pics or I'll do it for you since I: did your shocks, mounted them up, shaved some of the tires (still need to finish the others) and payed for your chassis :flipoff:

With Everett finishing his XR last week, I decided that it's time to build another one. Can't let little bro out do me:roll: I've always like stuff that's different from norm, so the Stingray naturally caught my eye when I first saw it. So here's the start of my build!

Talk about precision machining! This piece is beautiful!

Weigh in at 2oz with Steel hardware and steel balls. Some aluminum goodness will soon grace this. Steel stuff was only for mockup "thumbsup"

Stay tuned! I've got some stuff planned for this build that I bet you haven't seen yet...

Thank you Lord for carbon fiber

Spent a little time with the magic heat wand AKA soldering iron, and this is what I've come up with :) I'm trying a little different mounting idea for the RX, and it makes it a whole lot easier to access the leads vs if I had smashed it in with the ESCs. Thanks to Everett the SCX10 shocks now have Axial bent ends and Jeepndoug spring cups with Mini T springs. I'm trying out 30wt oil just as a baseline to start with. Ok, enough with the blabbing, here's some pics!

1lb 15oz Completely RTR except for wheels/tires. I have a feeling I got most of ya beat for light weight. Can you say sub 3lb rig?

Wow. Nice work. If these motors work out for you, maybe you wil start a new trend :D

Look forward to see how it works for you and if thers such a thing as to light....

From testing the electronics out today the motors are smooth as butter, but I'm saving my final verdict until I can get this out on the rocks and see how it is in the real world.

Haha I'm thinking it is gonna be to light... but I do have RC Bros knuckle weights on the way to fix that if need be "thumbsup"

That's crazy light! Hell at that weight, no foam tunning needed.. cause the side walls will be enough to hold that rig weight up!
me, I'm goin back to 4lbs 1oz or so.. liked but didn't like sub 4lb so much..

Looks good mang. You forgot the Velcro and body panels though:flipoff:

And wheels and tires..... and probably a little bit of knuckle weight "thumbsup"

But yeah, looking good! It isn't quite sitting right though... Set the rear shocks to the upper set of holes, and maybe shorten the rod end on the rear shocks a hair if needed.

The upper link mount holes should be on a vertical plane, not angled forward or backwards while at rest.

Done "thumbsup" Thanks for the setup help! Any more info will be gladly accepted... only problem is your a berg guy :flipoff:

His knuckle weight just got packed for shipping ;)

Thanks! I have a feeling I'll be needing those
