Yup he's got a light rigNot trying to beat him or anything, I'm not even trying to make an uber light rig, but when your motors are 8 oz lighter than the ones everybody else is using, then yeah, the rig gets light real fast.
As much as I like the U.L.2.2.....your UGCS looks 10x better "thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup"

Wheels came this morning! Now she's ready to run! Amazing job on the Wheels by Dan @ Hulksta Engineering! Shave job by EverettY.

Wow she's light, that what those little out runners will do. I'm looking forward to what your opinion is on them. Whether they work well at low speed. Oh and DAT stingray be looking so sexy. Nice looking rig and Dan's wheels look great too.

Had fun driving it today since mine isn't working and he's using some of my stuff I figured I could use it :mrgreen: But The outrunners seem to work pretty well... they don't have quite as much torque and power as my Brood's but for the price and weight it's really great I was pleasantly surprised 
Anyways it was pulling some impressive lines today... still haven't gotten our course set up but once we do we should have a good place to test em... It was catching on the rod ends in the middle so I put the rear lowers on the outside and the front lowers on the inside and it doesn't hang up as much... It was having an issue with the servo so we put my BLS157HV on it for now... Now the only issue is the RX doesn't have very good range.. You have to be within like 4 ft of it to work so IDK what the problem is... Other than that it works great!

After running a few packs through, my thoughts are WOW this thing can crawl! Weight seems perfect, sidehilling and vertical is incredible. The motors maybe aren't quite high end brushed smooth, but I will say that it is plenty smooth for what I like. Video will be up soon....

For me after driving for a little longer the motors have a lack of power... there was one ledge that you would sidehill into it and than have to turn left up onto the ledge but when the front wheels would get to the ledge the motor would stop and act like the front was in dig... The rear would slide around and it would go right up but we don't want the motors dying like that :razz:

...how about getting rid of even more weight from the wheels by cut'n'shut the tyres

Cut n shut tires usually weigh more than non cut tires because of all the glue needed to hold them together. But yes, I could lose a couple more ounces by drilling out the gears, having Calvin machine down the motor plate, ect.

That's how Mitchell works :'( even if he says he's going to keep something for a while you can never believe him... He'll decide to sell something within 5 minutes... Which is basically what he did :razz:

I have other priorities at the moment... I'll be building up another crawler after the summer, but I'll be working all summer so I won't even be able to use it. Hate to sell it, but have to keep things in order
