MK42 RTR VS Bully RTR

So can some one tell me which one is the best to just tool around with while still getting some of the best componentry.

Also electronics aside which is better??

Does MK42 come with Billet Wheels??

Is it possible to get either rig with an extra front axle to make it 4 wheel steer??

Are both 1/10 scale rigs??

So it reasonable to believe that the Bully is less likely to need upgrades than the MK42?

i got the stock bully. it seems to me its a little mor up-grade-a-ble. mine stock, kicks ass! is it comp worthy????no, not really. but it is so much better then my axial i had. pretty beefy to.

I don't really have a compelling reason for one or the other, but I did opt for the stock bully artr over the mk42. It looked like it would be tougher, especially since I like to bash mine.

do you think for the possible money (ie: 299 or 399) one could build a rig with similar components and get some way more bad ass.

Probably more in the $500 to $750 range not counting electronics and batteries.

It will all depend on how much you want to comp. If you just want to do casual comps then the Bully ARTR is more than capable. The biggest drawback it has is that it is a bit too heavy but it is still a better comp ride than a stock Axial.

I would assume if you are looking for something with 4 wheel steer than you don't plan on comping. The bully is much tougher out of the box than most other crawlers, even if it's not comp ready.

mine is at 7 pounds an it dont seen to mind at all an it comps well. i have the lite weight axles an a chasis but it is atill heave compared to my berg at 6 2

Either rtr will have subpar electronics whitch will be replaced eventually. for 1 to 200 more bucks in the classifieds you can get alot more bang for your buck. If your the type that has to have new and comping is a slight possibility get the light weight axles and build it yourself. Read all the build threads in here and go from there.

yeah i plan to take a look in the classifieds once i have correct amount of posts

hopefully i can find something in there for less 700 since that is what i roughly priced out for a new ARTR Bully rig complete.

I just got the Bully ARTR and will be replacing the rear to lightweight parts keeping the front heavy so I don't need to add weight to the wheels. Right now in comp ready mode it weighs 6.75 pounds which isn't really too much since my comp Losi weighed in at 6.25.

With the lightweigt rear it should drop to 6.25 to 6.5 and that will be in the ball park. I do plan to get a bodiless chassis which will drop the weight by about .5 to .75 pounds.

I normally place well in the club comps but lately that Losi was holding me back (breakage and dig servo problems).

I was looking at getting a bully rtr to get into MOA but I am afraid of having to replace electronics soon after buying. Does anyone run the stock electronics and like them?

Regardless of which one you pick be prepared to disassemble it completely and rebuild it using thread lock on all the screws that are not secured by a lock nut. You will need to fill the shocks with your choice of oil and lubricate the axles and gears.
