Well the other day I got a 1/16 traxxas gymkhana rally car. It was stock except for the rims and street tires which I don't know brand and name of but the tires are very grippy, and the velineon vxl3m brushless system installed and a 2s lipo that just died on me the other day. Since then I have locked the front diff, adjusted the preload to set the ride height, trimmed the rear wheel wells in the back a little and am currently in the process of dyeing the stock green suspension links red. Things I plan to do to it are going to be upgrading to GTR aluminum shocks, new body, get a heat sink for the motor, possibly upgrade the steering servo, and get a set of rally tires. Not going to go above and beyond with this car just want to make it a decent rally car.

I ran a 1/16 traxxas last year in our group R class. Mine is in serious need of some love right now.

For more chassis protection check this thing out.

They are great little cars. Not the best handling, not the worst either. It drives like a traxxas... Currently, I keep mine on the back burner, never really paying too much attention to it. But it's my dependable loaner car. Whenever I'm out with family or friends, I always let people drive it. I've seen it withstand some serious abuse from people/kids who don't know how to drive. A big plus is that parts are pretty easy to find...

This is what it looked like when I got it

Got the links dyed and installed. They turned out more maroon than red so I will be going with a maroon/white theme on the next body.

Also plan on getting these wheels and using the same due to get the same color and from what I've read when you dye wheels with a fake chrome plating the dye will turn the chrome into like an anodized finish which is awesome.

Well yesterday I got a battery and the inner axle carrier bearing for it and took it out and popped the driveshaft off the yoke twice on the same driveshaft

Well I finally got a run in without breaking something lol. I took it to the local park where there's sand and a sidewalk circling the playground with a light coat of sand on it so I set out to try and drift on the sidewalk with our going into the sand and getting stuck. Let's just say I have a lot of work to do when it comes to driving lol
