My Berg Rebuild # ?

Joe

What offset are you running in front on the dh comps

What offset are you running on the slw in back

I have the hot wire but it will not work with my computer.:cry:What are you adjusting on your radio?

On my Dx3r I had to adjust the deadband on the FXR, and the expo on my radio. When I first set it up the car acted like it went from 0 to 35% power, it took off to fast. It would not crawl. Bum a laptop for the night ( just make sure its not vista 64) to make adjustments and it will make all the difference. I was ready to give up on the FXR, but after messing with it for a little bit, they are great. Juts not as drop and play as the mamba max I had.

Joe so do you not limit your shocks any more

I am asking because there is a few stick chassis in my club and they love to build courses with break over

so I was think going 3+ GC would help with that

No I wet to a 3.5 chassis and I am not limiting the shocks.I can go from about 3 inches of GC- 3 5/8 And by not limiting the shock and running no preload it allows me to have about 1/2 inch of drop out .
The rig does not feel as solid this way but it does seem to be the best all around setup I have had.

Well I updated the Tekin ESC's today and boy what a difference.I really like them now.Once the rain stops I am going to get out and see just what they will take before they give out:shock:I want to know there limits.

Good deal!! I'm probably going to give the FXR a shot with my new build this winter.

I thought you would be able to notice a big difference. You get it work on your pc or a borrowed one?

You probably will not hurt one of the ESCs being only one motor per... I have run 2-35t HH handwounds w/3s on 1 FXR for 6 months or so without issue. I ain't that great of driver but I'm pretty rough on a rig. Forward to reverse wheelies are fun:twisted:

great job joe, after you set up your 4pk to harleys way dont be afraid to get creative with your settings and move your switches around to suit your needs. this set up worked very well in my rig but very difficult to get used to. but with you having some killer driving skills and some good gears in your noggin to think with, it should be awesome rig in your capable Dk grippers."thumbsup"

Well I must thank Brian again for the radio. This guy received it today and hand delivered it 140 or so miles from his place:shock: What a guy"thumbsup"

I talked to Harley and he knows the 4PK front to back.We had the radio up and working in 10 min or less. Thanks Josh"thumbsup"

I also received some foams from Nova's Ark today and plan on trying those out also.

I must say there has been several people involved with this rebuild and I truly appreciate it.

So a big thanks to

TCS

Kamikaze Kustoms
Vanquish Products
Panther Tires
Holmes Hobbies
ThunderPowerRC

Without these guys this rebuild would not have been possible. Now I have to learn how to drive it:oops:

be patient!!

I am not exactly known for my patients. :D

Good to hear Joe. I am sure you will get it quick considering you drive the hell out of a super. "thumbsup"

I had some time in between storms to run this rig a little.I am starting to get it all figured out.
It sure is nice to have 2 ESC's and a pistol radio that you can load the rear end without having to dig to do so.I also like being able to keep the front spinning fast and have the rear pushing nice and slow on the steep stuff. There is allot of things I can make the truck do that I could not with the DX3R and single ESC.
Another thing is that the weight I lost out of the chassis really helps.I installed the ESC's before I received the radio and receiver so I left plenty of room to clear the receiver. So I think I can lower the ESC's about another 1/2 inch this thing just keeps getting better.8)

Can't wait to beat it oh I mean see it Saturday "thumbsup" :flipoff:

And the smack is on for Saturday.8)

I had some issues today:x
I have been running the same motors for over a year now and they finally are just tired I guess:)I hate that because the funds are not there to buy new good motors so I had to put in a pair of just plain integy lathe motors. They are smooth but even with the brake of the Tekin the rear will not hold its self so you can dig on steep inclines.
I am going to see if I can set one of the switches on the 4pk to jump to about 50-60% in the rear to hold some pressure on the rear tires.

Joe

On the 4pk Harley showed me how to use the rolling wheel to reduce the power on the rear esc. Call him or send him a email. I use it all the time."thumbsup" uphill it's better than free wheel. It works the same down hill.
