My Berg Rebuild # ?

How do you get the 1/2 drop out with Big Bore's and Losi springs
 
Hey Joe. Put some Trinity purple springs and some stiffer brushes in those motors. You will be amazed at the difference."thumbsup"
 
Tedrockz was nice enough to hook me up with a pair of 45t HH hand wounds.

I have my rig all together and ready to go for the weekend.I have not comped with this rig yet and I am still not use to the radio but I am sure I will get all my ducks in a row with a comp tomorrow on a indoor course in East TN and a outdoor comp in KY on Sunday at one of my favorite comp spots.Then it will be off to Oklahoma for the true test against some of the best drivers in the country next weekend.

Well the first comp for the new rig was a disaster.
First off I kept looking at my damn radio.Still do not have the hang of it but I will.
Second I was just not smart and wanted to keep fooling around on gates that were giving me a hard time just to see what it was going to take to clear them knowing that everybody just took a gate and went on or I would want to go a certain way knowing I could take a different line and walk right up.
I think the truck worked fine but the driver sucked today.
We have another comp tomorrow and maybe I will have my head on straight.
 
Home from the second comp with the new rig and with much better results.
I pulled off a win today.The rig worked great and well the driver worked OK.
I had some trouble on my first course and got a little confused on the radio again on my third course.I have no Idea why this change is giving me issues other than maybe I am thinking about it to much.
All in All I am very pleased with my setup.
I know the twin ESC's and Radio helped big time in several spots today I honestly do not think I would have made some of the climbs with out it.

The coolest thing today was there was one course that had some ledges that no one was able to hook and with the new VP Wheels I was able to make a quick weight change and add 3 more ounces per wheel to the front in a couple of minutes without having to take my tire off.This is a big plus in my book."thumbsup"

I see what you mean about those VP's being a real time-saver ...no changing wheels, or adding stick-on weights. I'm gonna look into tracking down a set for myself in the future."thumbsup"
 
Good to meet everyone and we had a great time.

Well I have spent some time going over my rig after a weekend of beating on it.
The chassis looks to be holding up well and with it not flexing as much it seems that the screws stay tighter.At Least I think that is the reason.
I did have inner and outer front hub bearings go down on one side so I had to fix that.
with everything tight and new bearings I am ready for Oklahoma this weekend"thumbsup"The truck is in a big box with all the other ones waiting to be put in the bed of the truck and go for the road trip.

I hope so.I am starting to get use to the radio and I glued a small piece of delrin to the rear dig switch so it is easier to hit.If it stays on there it will make things allot better"thumbsup"
 
Well I have not updated this build thread in a while so here are the most recent changes.

I installed a set of Super 300 CVD's .What a difference they make over the stock shafts.A big thanks to SDS "thumbsup"
I had to switch over to a KK tie rod so I could move the mounting location back on the knuckles to get all the Insane steering you can achieve with the Super 300's and boy is it nice to be able to turn sharp.I also like how much slop the CVD's do away with in the drive line.It give a much more consistent and solid feel to the truck.

Another change I made was motors.
I switched to a set of HH 40t motors from my old 45t's and I am loving them.They have plenty of power and speed. Thanks John"thumbsup"

Now that I am starting to get use to the Radio and all the other changes I am loving how this rig works. I placed it in 3rd at the ALRC Turkey Crawl and I will take that all day long with the Talent that was there from around the country. I also took 1st with it at the first 2 ETRC events of the 2009/2010 points series.So I have a good shot at getting qualified for Nationals for the 3rd year in a row.And I promise I will go this year:)"thumbsup"

Joe do you have any pictures with the new steering. Are you using VP knuckle?
