DODGING ROCK CHUCKERS
Well since the Utah guys decided to bring in the OLD SCHOOL class I've been pondering on what to build. Now I know that I did not want to make another clod and was really digging the shafty TLT.... I figuered it was time to build a TXT and with what better then BENDER CUSTOMS new SW2 chassis with a lay down pede tranny.
It is the first time I have ever used someone elses chassis but this new SW2 is completely sick!!! It has all the mounting holes and clearence to perdy much bolt right up to TXT axles. However I had to widden it from 2" to 3" in order to clear the drive shafts, but was'nt a problem at all. The upper link mounts, also from BENDER CUSTOMS worked out perfect for the TXT axles an also double as my battery holder and a place to mount my superrooster. The Pede tranny has all metel gears and ballbearings. The TXT axles have been locked and also have full ballbearings. I'm running a 12 tooth on the lathe motor and an 87 tooth spur gear on the trans feeding MAX 2.5 shafts. The shocks are all aluminum from TEAM BLUE STAR and measure 4" from hole to hole. I decided to run PROLINES max MASHERS on 1" wide OUTBACKS, and of course it will be sporting a discontinued CJ8 body.
So far this is what I have for specs. 14"wb, 3.25" belly clearance and 13" wide. It is a little wider then I had planned on an may play around with it a little later. Pics on the way!!

Nice work, I like the layout. ;-)

Have you had a chance to try it out yet?

One more question, were you having a seizure while taking those pics? :flipoff:

Ahhh I see. ;-)

Well, get that thing painted up, we'll hook-up later in the week and shoot some pics/video.

Looks great! I'm gonna have to check out those shocks, I can't say as I've ever seen those kind before.

Chassis looks awesome bender! I never was much on TLT's, but after seeing one of these with TXT axles under it, I like it even better! Can I get one powdercoated orange?...

Thanks, you can powdercoat them any color you want.

My version of the same thing should be done this week.
But mine will be closer to 16 inch wheel base to compete with the Super Class.

Here comes the Shafty revolution!!!!

Thanks to Bender for making a versatile, awesome chassis!!!!!!!!!

Pinch pulled the plug on the Old School Class.

I was wondering about this truck fitting into that class. Wouldn't the chassis be a bit too new for Old School? And maybe even the wheels? Guess it doesn't matter now...

Definately a cool looking ride.
