Rock Stacker
Well I wanted something more than just my standard looking mrc, so i deciced to build something like you would expect to see in a trucks gone wild video, except this one will be able to flex and crawl instead of just mud. Think monster truck meets rock crawler. This means streched wheelbase (in respect to the body) so that I could comp cut the rear. I found a ford f150 that I thought would be great, so i snapped it up, and started the cutting and painting. Here's what i've done so far today.
there's my mrc....nothing special, just put battery on rear axle and added weight to the front axle.
got this
turned it into this
haha losi body on POS truck chassis
I'm using stock body mounts for this one, just because it was so easy.
some fine tuning and removing of stickers then this
applying bedliner. The texture is PERFECT. looks just like a rhino lined bed on a 1:1 looks.
it's drying tonight, tomorrow it gets some final touches, like pin stripes for where the color changes, and dual CB whip antennas ( all the rednecks around here in their trucks run dual whips)
Then it's getting new tires, real head lights and tail lights, as well as some rock lights and a hidden winch with just the fairlead showing on the bumper. My friends real truck is like this and i think it looks nice, and it will allow me to use an ugly servo motor for the winch without it being seen.
Also, a tonneau cover or a dog box
I'll post more pics tomorrow when i get the whips on and body back on the chassis
