So here we go !

-Blade TMC chassis v2 with beer can aesthetics
-Extend links and drive shafts to get 125mm wheelbase
-BWD micro vertex beadlocks
-7.4V lipos (350 & 250mah packs)
-Trekker ball studs to gain flex/clearance
-Weights in front wheels
-DX3E Tx (the forward & backward adjustment is great for low-end control)

Some other parts are on their way :

-DDT predator 90t & 100t motors
-BMS-375DMG servo
-Miclows

I got the BWD wideners but can't fit them cause I don't have the damn barrel nuts "thumbsup"
Still got to lower COG a bit and gonna make new links as soon as I get the miclows. Then, we'll see if I upgrade to the 9t/56t pignon/gear.

PICS !!!!!

It's gunna look sick the the Miclaws! Love the body panels"thumbsup"

CrawlerX widener kit barrel nuts work fine. They are $5 cheaper than Bwds b-nuts (and available) and you get spacers.
I got a crawlerX widener kit and the delrin barrel nuts don't work with BWD spacers, they're too short and can't catch the axle thread.

Think froggy put up that with trailtrekker axles u can use bwd wideners and regular nuts....

I must be missing something somewhere cause mine really don't fit at all.
The barrel nut would need 1 more mm to do it.

are you sure it seated all the way into the wheel? I had one I had to shave to get it to fit through the wheel hole all the way. Also pre-thread the nuts before you try to mount them they are hard to start at first. Also make sure they fit inside the BWD wideners holes as that may be an issue as well. That's the problem with mixing brands on specialty parts though ... sometimes it just doesn't work.

Why someone doesn't just come out and make a wheel with wider spacing is beyond me ... since most of us have widened them from the get go.

And this time it just doesn't work for me.
I tried all I could and the conclusion is they're just too short...

Maybe cause there's too much threads to read here

Great news, I smoked my stock motor today.
The problem is exactly the same as described here.
I took out the electronic from chassis to check if there was a gear problem but all works smooth.
I need to help a bit the motor with my finger to make it turn.
I changed all plugs form micro deans so I tried connecting the motor directly to a lipo and it works. Then, I repluged it to the esc and same problem.

Has anybody experienced and fixed a similar problem ?

the stock stuff is bunk viagra, gets u going but wont keep up.
the ddt will be MUCH better.
the stocker on 2s wont like the miclows very much anyhow.

I burned up a few stock motors in my day! They only take so much overheating and they go to micro motor heaven.

I hope the esc is ok...Iv'e also burned up a few of those too;-) There is no heaven for burned up esc's:evil:

Any other rigs or friends rigs you could test the esc out in?

I tried to connect a big block and it works fine so the esc is ok.
It's clearly a motor issue. I emailed horizon hobby for a replacement.
Since I upgraded to lipo, the stock motor suffers from heat a lot, the smell is scary after a run.

I would like to get a micro cooling fan to prevent overheating, like this one
but couldn't find any seller so I asked the manufacturer for 1 or 2 samples, I'll see if it works

Was also wondering if it was possible to stack fets on the esc like on mini-z (tuto here). I did this mod many times with good results.

Mister postman has been kind today !

I was so pissed with my broken stock motor...
Danally made my day !
I only tested the 90t so far and this motor, mates, the WTF factor is present :)
It gives a second birth to my rig, so much torque and a really good low-end control.
It gets barely warm after a 20min run. The stock motor was so hot compared to the predator that I couldn't touch it.

Now, footage, pan crawling :

Miclaws received this morning !
I knew these tires were big but... it shoked me, they're super massive ! :)
As I was bored waiting the barrel nuts for BWD wideners I tried DANALLYs method to widen stock rims.
I got finger blisters but the miclaws fit and don't rub the upper links. Great mod !
I added stock foams plus mini-z monster foams.
Now the stock servo suffers a lot. Still wainting for the blue bird from HK...
Will post pics tomorrow.
