Im well aware of all the specs, seen the vid's, pic's and read all the info thats out there on the interweb.

Just find it unusual that a company is releasing a new product and have not shown or listed any info on their own website.
(And yes ive seen the 1 pic in their blog section  )

Meh what ever nuff said.

Would you please proof read your posts before hitting submit? We would all appreciate it.

I don't know what the fuss is about. Axial always does the promotional hype and it always takes about a month for it to hit shelves.

Instead of wondering when it'll release, just pre-order the damn thing or save up your pennys so that when it does drop, you aren't still online wondering when it'll release.

Go head, you're the brains here:
Axial Hi Speed Gear Set 48P 26T/48P 28T Yeti
Axial T-Case Gear Set 32P 15T/32P 27T Yeti
Axial Spur Gear 32P 64T Yeti
Bevel gears?
We know tire diameter 5.1"

So whats the rollout ratios?:???:
1st gear=
2nd gear=

From the manual: Final Drive Gear Ratio = (Spur/Pinion)x5.67

Stock gearing 38/13 (bevel gear set):
64T spur / 16T pinion = 22.67 x 5.67 = 128.53

Awesome, thanks for all the info, does the manual say what the ratio would be in low gear??

It would be cool if we had a great range between high and low. The THs high and low ratios aren't that far apart.

As a newbie to RC trucks, I really confused. On GreatHobbies ( a hobby shop in Canada ) the new Yeti is listed under the listing of *crawlers* To me, this means it has more torque than a standard RC truck used more for racing around a track of doing jumps. I pre-ordered the new Yeti but now I'm wondering if I should cancel the order. I wanted a crawler, and it seems the Yeti has been built more for speed.

Any help is much appreciated, and please go easy on me :-)

It appears to be kind of a halfway between a crawler and a buggy, not perfectly optimal for either usage, but a good compromise that will be quite capable as either. It's category, in theory, is as a u4 racer, which combines technical rock, steep climbs, open dirt sections, a few small jumps, etc.

Went to my lhs that I know well and he looked on his great planes (that owns axial) dealer page and they changed the release from mid July to July 15 so that is some hope that it really will only be another week and they are giving an actual date.

Isn't mid July and July 15th the same?
