New Spots in Houston

I wish I could head out there, but unless, for some weird reason, a LOT of people decide to not drive on I10 one weekday after work, I doubt I'll head out there on anything but the weekend.
Gotcha, Im off Eldridge so I just shoot down that to I-10

Yeah, no pleasure cruise, huh? I get the joy of a 290 reaming everyday. :)

Haha.....290! My boss takes that on the way home. I exit 610 right at the entrance for 290 and turn right. My drive to and from work is a brisk 5 minutes...in traffic.

Scott, yeah, I park right there at Eldrige.

Hey guys sunday mid day i went back where i'am gueting my house built of a hwy90 and belt way 8. So i stoped and to my surprise i found this semi looking dich or whatever anyways i saw bunch of rocks on both sides so i poped out my 2.2 scaler and started to play there, and let me tell you it is a great place to beat up your truck and give ot that scale apearance. Check it out for your selfs since i took some fotos of my truck crawling.

Nice rig BTW!

"thumbsup"I'ts preaty cool aint it, THE ACTUALL LOCATION IS IN INSIDE THE kb HB homes, is a drainage of exess water in case the streets overflow. It seems like a nice placxe to rock crawl and test your rig in every way possible. You guys wanna check it out i will put a google search,
http://maps.yahoo.com/;_ylc=X3oDMTE...16&q1=15523 liberty bluff st houston tx 77049 If anyone is interested in going there on sunday give me a hollar at 713 204 8211. thanks. Thank for the compliment on my rig and as for the parking, well i parked ona house they have for sale and its a foreclosure and no one lives there. Or if you wanted you also park on the side street i don;t think it would bother anyone going thrugh there anyway. I will try to guet some more pics of the area witha wider angle view either today or tomorrow.

I finally made it back out to Terry Hershey park last weekend. Here are a few pics:

There is a bunch of stuff for scalers as well.

I'm not sure if I'll go back out there. No wind plus heat plus water filled creek equals a sweaty me.

I get there by going West on I10 and exit Eldridge. To get to the lot I park in (nearest those pics), pass Eldridge and make a u-turn at the next light and stay on the access road. You'll see a sign that labels the park.

Im new to crawling and am interested in getting some tips on the sport. I am the atomicmods.com team driver and am really excited about taking the speed out of racing and learning some new stuff. I would like to meet up with some of you guys to play with my new rig.

Welcome man. atomic mods rule! Very cool.

I am new to the crawling scene, but loving it so far. I can relax in the backyard with a cocktail and just play. Entirely different world for me coming from 1/8 nitro.

Hey Jeremy did you ever get anyone to meet you at this place? If my truck makes it this week would you want to meet up out there next week?

I went out there, but it wasnt much fun. It was really hot with no air circulation and the rocks werent conducive to crawling (too many rocks bundled together with no real lines). There looks like a good spot in Huntsville State Park which is a bit closer to you.

Are you making a trip down here or something? Kaufman is a long way from either of these spots.

Jeremy

Jeremy yes I am taking a vacation from DFW lol and I will be in the houstn aera wednesday or thursday of this comming week. Not sure where the huntsville park is but, as I had mentioned befor if the truck gets here in time I would like to meet and do some crawling maybe learn some more on the sport.

I can try to meet you, but during the week is not usually good for me (extremely hectic job)....and this coming week I will be juggling my job and going to a conference.

Hunstville is about an hour north of Houston. I havent been to the park, but have seen some nice pics of places to crawl there.

Where in Houston will you be?

Not exactly sure where the company is going to have me. I know i will be in houston and from there I will go to Padre Island like I am really going to get a contract there LMAO. I will have the specifics tomorrow about this time.
