Allow Proline 2.2 tires to be fitted to SSD 2.2 steel wheels (SSD00019 & SSD00025) and SSD 2.2 Assassin wheels (SSD00029 & SSD00045)

2.2 Proline Tire Compatibility Rings

SSD is no doubt becoming my go to, favorite RC parts mfg'er. You guys make great products. Every single thing I own of yours is perfect.

All of our 1.9 wheels are already Proline tire compatible so no need for rings.
I see. Thanks for the info. I found prolines harder to mount, but I blame the tires and not the wheels. I have been exceptionally happy with all my SSD purchases :)

is this going to happen for the rock racers too? I'd rather not modify them if I can help it. What's the difference between these and the stock ring.

Yes we plan to make some for the SSD Rock Racer wheels also.

Proline tire beads are just different dimensions from all other brands.
So these rings are designed to hold Proline beads. So the width and OD are different.

Are they XL tires? If so they are not the same as other PL tires beads.
There is no special procedure. a few longer screws help to get started though. Then you can switch them out for the shorter screws after thou have a few installed.

Absolutely loving my SSD steelies; just mounted up some proline tsl xl's tonight with the SSD Proline Compatibility ring. No problems at all! This is my 2nd set of ssd wheels and I plan on getting a third soon. "thumbsup"

Couple of questions. Are these wider than standard internal rings? Also curious if they theoretically should work with any 2.2 3 piece wheel.

I wish you'd offer a Proline setup that way we don't have to buy the set of wheels and rings only to not use the standard rings.
