NewRed Hobbies January 30

Didn't mean to cause so much trouble!!!

I bought my ax-10 before they had scalers or comp rock crawlers. It is not as good as a berg and it does not have the frame to be a scaler. I have enjoyed the ax-10 since I bought it and have never regretted it. I got it because scattman was playing with his rock crawler at ORCCC. I still have the video of this. I will work at making it a scaler because that is what I enjoy running. If I had the money I would buy a scx-10 but that will have to wait which is what I will do until I have a "scaler".

You didn't cause any trouble.;-)

No need to buy an SCX, a frame and shocks is about all you need. Axles are the same as are some of the links. Won't take much to convert and I have most of it, if not all."thumbsup"

crawl ugly you dont gotta give me anything you can get"thumbsup"

Awesome your the best i will still try and give you something maybe not right now but in the future"thumbsup"

comon sense or not this is a 'COMP' there has to be rules!...

trust me crawl ugly i agree with you and im still trying to figure out the whole "still has to resemble a 1:1 tire..." to me that means a 1:1 tire... the swampers/boggers, rock stompers, rock crushers, mud country and whatever other 1:1 looking scale tires there is...

I agree 100% there must be rules and they should be followed. The point i was trying to make is that there are certain things that are stated as guidelines and thats where we need to come together as a group and make a decision on certain rigs whether or not they should be allowed to compete.

So if I'm correct in reading the above the Ocala events are not comp, with set rules but rather a GTG and why even worry about scores? "I have a berg can I run it in the scales too?"

This is exactly what i'm talking about if someone were to bring a berg or another moa or any type of comp crawler common sense would tell us that it is not a scaler and should NOT be able to compete in that class

But to simply state that a wk or axial based scaler can't compete JUST b/c it has a wk or stock axial frame regardless if it has a hard body or scale tires or any other accesories that would make it more like a scaler is wrong IMO. How many WK have you seen out there that would do any good against the comp crawlers when they really don't even hold their own in the scale class (some of the time).

Im climbing off my soap box now no other points to make hell neither one of my rigs are out of the guidelines..........................I think :flipoff:

Thanks to Scattman, I will be running my berg. My only problem is I only have 1 bec. Does anyone have a bec I could borrow, or buy?

What happened to having fun?
I have an ax10 with a straight frame bolted to the top of the stock cradle as you can see it is definately not a crawler but by your rules its doesnt seem like a scaler either.

I built this as a scale mud truck.
If this is a TTC why not follow TTC rules for the 1:1
Just tryin to figure all this out for I drive an hour to be turned away for my frame.
If my frame meets your spec I will lower my truck and put 2.2 on it
Hopefully I will join you folks on the 30th.
