Class 2 Buxom Melons

That is your class 2 now right? Looks good.

I got pardonmyn00b to do a little body work for me on my Hilux, can't wait to get started on this thing again.

Diggin' the hood Neil! I was contemplating doing somehting like that to my clod but I wasn't sure how to do the hinges. That's pretty slick. In the end I don't think I'll do it, I don't really have a need for the hood to open. That would be perfect if you had the battery up there though!

Thanks, that is what I am doing, running a 1300MHr 3S in there.

You want a really bad ass chassis? GCM makes some cool ones if you're trying to do a ground up build. I used their 4TEN chassis for my class 1 scaler, here it is:

That one is specifically for leafs though. Their Cross Canyon chassis is a 4 link setup and it's very similar to mine. You'll have to figure out a lot on your own though, it's not like an SCX where mounts for the body, electronics, etc. are included. I had to make all of them myself.

Edit: Only real issue with these is the price tag, he's proud of them.

That's the chassis jetboat has. It's s really cool chassis. My skills are rough on the 1:1 scale, on 1:10 scale they downright suck. I'll need to go with the easier option my first time around the block.

Then I would get an SCX10. They're easy to work on, proven relaible and have a billion aftermarket parts available for them. You can always turn it into something else down the road too. There are a TON of custom rigs on here that have an SCX10 chassis. It's a perfect starting point.

he actually has most the stuff he needs in his Axial sportsman... just gotta buy the chassis, body and make your own links from Threaded Rod, Stainless/Aluminum Tubing and Revo/Jato Rod Ends.

There's several bolt on CMS (chassis mounted steering) plates for the SCX10 too.

I'm trying to keep my stable down and really narrow down the trucks I have. I didn't care too much for the sportsman as compared to the moa comp rigs, and I don't really want to be out in the woods/water/mud with the comp. thanks for the input guys.
