I think Chris, Ron and I are going to Ron's place to play and do some wrenching.

Lets plan something for next Sunday. The family that bought my camper is coming by on Saturday to get a crash course on RVing and I promised to help him de-winterize it, flush all the tanks, get the A/C, water heater and fresh water system up and running and then teach him how to use a load leveler hitch and a sway bar. SOunds like fun huh?

A few shots from today. Didn't get any shots of the sled but my Hilux did a nice full pull as did chris' Betty. My Honcho did a little dance and rolled over like a damn turtle. Oh and Ron stripped a MG servo so he had to just play with his bully.

For those that I didn't get a chance to talk to, I did buy my retirement property, 192' X 1252' and it connects to my wife's family's land which includes an 18 Acre pond. So a Boat is a go. Also looking to try for something like all_scaled_out did:

Here is a shot from the home site to the road

This is looking at the home site from the same spot as the last, we are building in front of the large pecan trees.

This is from the trees to the end of the property, just over the rise is where we are putting in a damn to build a small (under an acre) pond for the wife and then we will fence the last 2 acres for my wife to have a horse or 2.

We have an option for the other 10 acres that is good for 10 years, so we will probably pick them up (depending on how the stock market treats my retirement).

The stable is not close to full :-) Just last year I was at 17 Electric and 3 Nitro go fast trucks, My first Honcho, My first Highlift, 1 Plane and 3 helis.

Now I am down to a manageable 4 scalers, a TTC, a sort of comp, a sort of KOH and 5 go fasts. But I do see a boat in my future. Just have to see how much pond I can get for my money next week, lol. If I can get an acre or so of water, I am going back to boats. Scalers of course but one go fast "V" would be cool.

Neil I see a bunch of tire are gone, does that mean your happy with the 1.9 mickey baja claws?

How where they on the rocks?

They did well. The real issue is that, as much as I love the Proline TSLs, and I think they are the BEST gripping tire on the market for scalers, they are too tall for a class 1 and fit in the same class as the Bogger and Claw. Over all, the bogger and the claws are better tires. The TSLs woul;d beat them on pure rock, but we are not going to find that in Illinois. Now the 2.2 TSLs are right sized and I believe beat the 2.2 Roks all to hell. ANd yes I have them all too, lol. For a class one tire, I will probably end up with some 1.9 SDIs TDs, RC4WD 1.9 Tomahawks or one of the RC4WD 1.55s.

Hi I am neil and I am addicted to RC Tires.

Here is my current list:

1.9 Proline TSLs
1.9 Proline Flat Irons
1.9 RC4WD Rok Lox
1.9 RC4WD Dick Cepeks Mud Countrys
1.9 SDI Trail Doctor
2.2 Losi Claws
2.2 Axial Rock Lizards
2.2 Panther Cougars
2.2 Panther Leopards
2.2 Gmade Bighors
2.2 Pitbulls Rock Beats
2.2 RC4WD Rok Lox
2.2 Proline TSLs

and I am sure I am missing some.

My Place or Busse?

Maybe we can get Ron to host a event

For you R1 fans, I cooked my VXL so I had to go back to my HH 45 and FXR.

SO I am still not into finishing my flatty, so as I am working on my TTC and my Class one Hilux, i find myself wanting to build a Bronco. I have a few choices here. I can go full out tuber with the R! axles and tranny, use a CGR body and dovetail be bed, something very similar to Oso787, which IMHO is the best looking bronco out there. Another option is to go with one of my leafer chassis as real 73s had and do a full spec class 1 rig. Third would be something in between. Maybe trade my blue honcho (after I strip it down some) for a Dingo roller and go 1.9 for a Class 2 rig.

So help me out with some opinions.

And if you haven't seen Oso;s rig, here is a link:

And just for reference, this is another of the best of the bests by a guy named FLB:

The Pirate reminded me of the pure rockers we 4 wheeled out west. What I am going for is what you see around here, more trail truck. Had a club member from wisconsin that drove one some on our trips.

I didn't give you a link to the Pirate. It a Kick but R1

I am almost sure the HobbyTown in St Charles has a crg Bronco on the self.

Ok, so R2J has a bronco body for me, so the blue Honcho is going away and will become a 73 Bronco. Think I will uses Oso's as a model.

Also ordered my Wraith today. LHA said I will get the first one and it shold be here on the release date of May15th.
