Any time you want to make a trip on a weekend, you are welcome to use my stuff. I ahve a wall mounted say, 4 inch grinder, Die Grinder, MIG Welder, Oxy/Acetyelen rig and a disk/belt sander.

ideally i need a scroll or band saw and a drill press.

Should have explained better. I do have a drill press and my wall mounted say if this new thing that I tossed my old band say for. It can cut just about anything and can make curving cuts. I use it on all my metal rod, bar and sheet. It is like a suber charged Jig say, upside down in a table with upper blade support and dust collection. It also has a fence and miter gauge.

i got me some double dueces for them. have yet to put them in but hopefully they work. its VERY odd having a dual stage foam with the inner section sooooo hard, but from what i hear they are the hot ticket.

I have some as well. Took them out of some comp tires that came with my XR10.

There in the cabinet of wheels , tire, and foams. You can get lost in there.

the word 'say' threw me off. ;-)

i might take you up on it neil, you got anything going on memorial day weekend? i'd probably just use you for your tools and then split.

its all delrin with right-angle cuts with a couple holes drilled here and there.

Got one of the RC Rock Armor rear bumpers in like the one Trey is running on hos Checvy. With some mods, this is going to mount right up on the TF2. That saves me a month of work at the rate I weld.

I have a new system:

  1. cut and weld parts.
  2. hammer off cold welds
  3. re-weld parts
  4. throw parts across the room at something approaching escape velocity
  5. start over
  6. cut and SLOWLY weld parts.
  7. grind the piss out of the welds
  8. weld the voids
  9. grind the piss oiut of the new welds
  10. weld the voids for the last time
  11. grind the piss out of the welds for the last time
  12. inspect closely to see if it needs to join it's partner in the trash
  13. sand
  14. polish
  15. primer
  16. paint
  17. dry
  18. mount
  19. bitch about how long it took

Nothing going on. I would suggest you bring the right size bits, I am in desperate need of a Drill Doctor, just havent got around to investing in one.

right on. i can definitely bring all the bits i could ever use since i bought a ton of 1/8th bits when i was trying to drill out my axial ring gears for the highland lockers.

i thought alot about just cheesing out and getting the gcm bumpers, but they are a little too overkill for what i want and i have some spare delrin left over from the f350.

neil you still on for taking a trip to cliffs this weekend?

Sure, if we can find a place to meet up and go as a group. You are on the north shore right?

im northside of chicago in lincoln square, about 10 minutes from the foster spot.

i was wanting to hitch timmy to the back of the 4runner and use the day as an opportunity to get a little wheeling in and to see if the gf is ok with the bugs and mud before i drag her out to the june event.

i'd be leaving the city around 7-7:30 or so to get out of town before the traffic gets super bad and to get to the cliffs at 9.

that being said, maybe you and trey could meet up and i could meet ya down there? you wouldnt have to be there at 9 that way.

What's this on Sunday?

scouting the cliffs spot & talking to steve about where we want to run.

my biggest concern is getting to and from the actual spot we pick since most of us dont have capable 1:1's and i dont want to be shuttling everybody in and out. i'm hoping there is something right off the parking area or behind the garage.
