can the rooster crawler handle a 27 turn and 7 cells? i know its a 27 turn limit, but is 8.6v too much. or should i go with a 35 turn?

Are you using the motor that comes with the stock AX-10 RTR? 27 turn seems kind of low for a crawler. But to answer your question it should be able to handle it, I know guys running lipos with their Rooster CE.

Cool, I thought that 27 turn would be too low. A friend of mine bought the AX-10 RTR and bought an 85 turn because he didn't like the 27. I'm sure it has something to do with your gearing too.

i planed on a smaller pinion and bigger spur, just want to know if the electronics will hold a 27 with 7 cells

i can change the throttle curve and aplication speed on my controler, so im sure i can get it controlable at crawl speeds. i just want some balls out power when i "need" it[do we ever really need it?(who am i kidding?)]

The NOVAK crawler products are safe on either a 2 Cell (7.4v) lipo or a 7 Cell NiMH pack. Do not run more cells than recommended...or POOF. I was running 6 cells on my Novak Goat until last night....just made the switch to a 2 cell 20C 7.4v Lipo....it is NICE. I am sure that the Rooster in your brushed application will offer plenty on either setup. Novak does a great job on less cells. PLUS the strong BEC built into the ESC is great.

ive been running 7 cells since i got it. the question is more about a 27 turn with 7 cells. i think its a no-go though. got this off Novak's site
