Now people won't always be wrong when they call them GAS cars

If it weren't a LST, I'd be really digging that! Considering how many of those we had trans issues with at the HTU I work for, I wouldn't spend the money on one.

I know evolution (a horizon plane engine company ) had the smaller gas motors out for a while. They are equivilant to a .46 and a .61 nitro. I'm told they burn clean and use less than a 1/4 of the fuel than what a nitro uses. That being said if this takes off in the 1/8th scale buggy world , they'll be doing 45 minute mains with no pitting.

I like the idea..Many nitro fuel makers may not like it possibly losing a ton of money on fuel.

Clearly you can see an overall power loss watching the video but I don't think that's such a bad thing for many.

As with most anything people want to way over power thinking they get an advantage and really they don't.

ive seen a few RTR nitro motors win events on the soul basis that they didn't overpower the track and had more consistent lap times.

Ive had and still have some high dollar top of the line nitro motors and to this day ive won more races with a low dollar rtr motor than anything.

I would do a timing change and some messaging to other areas and be done with it...Pistons and sleeves a lot less expensive..no turbo heads to need 13-15 dollar plugs.

20 percent fuel ran through it and tuned for the most economy I could get which in some cases was just over 8 minutes.

Cost of this technology will determine rather or not it takes off but I hope it does..Would be nice to see something different in the nitro world.

Would be nice to combine regular 2 stroke fuel with a watercooled motor such as the Grossi motor.

I raced a LST2 for a few years right up until the class died. This is cool. I cant believe it sounds the same as a nitro. I was thinking boggy like a 1/5 gas sounds.

Best MT out there other than the whack steering setup.

Think in terms of a 2 stroke dirt bike...Im sure adding some 2 stroke oil to the gas will be needed.

Losi releasing teasers of their gas truck got hpi to finally release a teaser vid of the truck they've been teasing people with for years . The octane . Sorry hpi you're getting beat to the punch .

I had an HPI baja 1/5 scale, and loved it, but got bored of running by myself. It was a 22lbs car with a 26cc motor, and I wanted more at times. The Losi gas MT is a 13lbs truck with a 5cc motor, and the HPI has a 15cc gas engine, much better IMHO. Nitro fuel is $52 a gallon locally (yes I realize you can order it cheaper), so I don't touch nitro rigs anymore. I'm really excited to see more gas innovation in the hobby, good for Losi and HPI!

4.00 bucks a gallon "thumbsup" sounds a whole lot better then 52.00 bucks  ....I so want a gas powdered RC to run back and forth past my ass hole neighbors house all day long :lmao: ....

Sad it took two years (?) for any manufacturer to put the two together. I said it two years ago when that shortage or whatever (nitro fuel and olympics and sudden spike in price) first happened.
