I hear a lot of talk about the early revisions or first run of the LCC and does anyone know what those searial number range is? from RC-000001 to ?. My LCC is in the RC-0011xx range and was wondering if I got one of the originals that seem to have a lot of problems.

Thanks

I'm not sure a Serial Number range was given as some of the issues were spotty (not all had the problem, worms) and the other was just the first run CVD's being machined weird.

Are you having problems?

There is lots of info in this forum on how to identify each issue that could be there. You want to rebuild both front and rear axles, make sure there are the correct number of shims, and check that your worm gears are cut properly. Do a search here to learn how to identify that. Also your crawler probably has V1 CVD's, again search and you'll find some photos of how the notch is cut too deep and into the neck of the shaft. If so, you should contact Horizon Hobby support for replacement V2 CVDs that are covered.

But honestly, you'll want the V3 cvds (not provided under warranty as far as I know). The V3's are much stronger, no issues that I've read anywhere, they are damn near bulletproof.

Other than that there were no major issues with the roller, just lots of learning that went on when it was released as far as motor combos etc. Its not a typical crawler, it does require a well thought out motor/esc combo to get good results.

i have #439 and i had both bad worms and v1 cv's got my replacement v2 cv's and i have yet to break them after hours and hours of abouse behind the link bending power goat 18.5t

mine is #1515 and it had bad worms and v1 cvds horizon sent me v3 inner axles to replace the v1 went thru 3 xcelleron systems before i fought for a refund now i have a goat 3s system

I have 00090. DOHH! I used the lube that came with the kit to ease the pain in my A**. LOL

LOSI is in the process of making it right for me. God bless LOSI for caring.

I did not want to wait for replacement parts, but I have no choice. My LHS has model number 01320 or something like that, so I chose not to buy a second bumb unit. So no choice I have to wait for replacement parts.

UPDATE: Parts came in today! Bamb, fast shipping. Thanks LOSI ( Del Monte ). See you guys at nationals!

I am looking to buy an LCC that has Serial Number around 4500. Is this part of the first run or should it have any of the bad parts?
