I'm building a tuber with 4WS, MOPED ESC and TQ3. With this brushless motor will I need anything esle? I know tubers weigh more so I'm trying to get all my Elect. as light weight as possible. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

You can run this with any radio system

I havent tested the weight limits of the motor yet. Since the can is smaller than a normal 540 can the heat dissipation is less. What size tires are you running? If you have a brushless motor you will need a brushless esc. The moped wont work.

Sure did, got all orders shipped out. If you have a Revolver or combo on the way, it is in the mail now.

Thanks for the business guys. You will love these little motors.

2.2 Moabs...How much are your Brushless ESC? Never mind I checked you site. Your site looks good. I guess the Mamba 25 has no problems with running dual servos?

The mamba 25 has a 1.5 amp BEC, the Quark 33 has a 3 amp BEC. If you are running two servos that are under 100 oz of torque apeice the Quark will push them just fine. If they are more powerful the performance might lag when both servos are pushing hard. I normally tap 5 cells for the servo when using the mamba 25, or get an external BEC.

Both ESC's are $80.

I think I'm going to put one of these in my maxx crawler. I can't remember if you said the mamba 25 esc will be sufficient for those bigger trucks.

If so, I'll place an order from you today.

They are more powerful than a lathe motor, no doubt. The mamba controller will be fine. I havent tested the motor in such a big setup though. If you want to try it out, I will gladly take it back no questions if you are not satisfied with it. You can help me test it out.

You've got yourself a deal. I'll go place the order on your site now. Also when I get a chance, I'll post you a link to a video with sound. I hear some grinding and I can't figure out where it is coming from. I took my pede tranny apart and I can't find any gears not meshing well. I also checked my gear mesh and it still sounds the same. This is for my tlt. BTW, I'm still elated at how well that thing works. I think I've sold one for you here locally. He asked me to PM him to this thread and your site. :)

I have the HH Combo (Mamba 25 & HH Outrunner) in my 2.2 TLT and the power difference between the Brushless motor and the 55t lathe motor I was using is incredible! I would highly recommend it!:)

There, ordered my 2nd one. I had to stop myself from ordering 2 more to round out all my crawlers with brushless. :)

Maybe if my week goes well with the stocks I'll grab more. heheh

reversing rotation of sensorless brushless (the only kind I stock) only requires switching two out of three motors wires.

JIA should have his Revolver'd clod running any time now.

I'm interested.... but how's crawling with no resistance? No 'automatic' brake like a brushed motor has? The drag brake has to be programmed into the ESC right? which in turn is sucking up more battery cause your essentially 'stalling' the motor drawing and **** load of current trying to hold your truck on an incline/decline with no manual throttle.

How are you guys getting past this?

The motor has drag anyway since it is a multipole outrunner. It drags as much as a normal motor. The drag brake doesnt seem to heat up the motor or take too much juice. I havent timed how long a charge lasts on a 2.2 yet, but I ran for about 45 minutes with a 3300 pack the other day, and no signs of the pack dumping.

cool I'll be ordering a motor from you tomorrow and another Quark 33 ESC from BPP.

Just finished ordering a Quark/Hyperion brushless setup fro my Mini LST. Been trying to find a good combo for my crawler. Looks like you've found the right setup!

The airplane guys at the HS I work at should get a kick out of an outrunner in a crawler! always thought those were the coolest motors.

About the run time... I've never timed it but I must be getting around the same run time (30-45min.) right now with a TLT weighing 6lbs. running a 45T lathe and 1 dgital servo powered by a 2 cell 1900 Thunder Power LiPo.
You think this pack (which is on the small side) would provide a high enough amp discharge to power the outrunner and still give at least 30 minute run times?
