Here's a write up on cutting, painting and detailing the new Jeep kit body. I included tips on build order too, to get the best finished product possible.

Seen it asked in the other tread & someone said to just remove the top to remove the rear body clips.

But since the top mounts with screws, that seems rather difficult.

My guess is that you don't use the rear clips & secure the the body with the spare tire brace that now passes thru the rear window. yay or nay?

You can do it that way for easy access to the electronics. "thumbsup"

Did you use the same white? Or is the picture off?

I used the same white paint on both the body and the top. This is the body that we used in the "kit video". It came out pretty clean. I just should have backed the white in silver before the black to give it a more even tone. "thumbsup"

Hey bender, I'm going to be topping off my old Scx chassis with the rubi body and I had a question, does part # ax04035 include the cage parts and the fender flares? I can't find info on what's included anywhere, thanks man!

Could a guy order just the front and rear fender flares and not the whole kit? I have another jeep project i'm working on and cant seem to find flares anywhere.
thanks

You can get just the front and rear crusher flares separately. "thumbsup"
