WOW, there are some awesome crawling courses...

this one is made in my backyard, handmoved rocks, all i could find... Its quite easy, altough i chose the hardest lines to make it more difficult.

o man you guys would love to see where i get to crawl. heres and idea. creekbeds, logs, rocks, rock piles, rock wall. rock hill side, hill side with downed trees. wait untill i am done making my crawler then i will take picks

I'll admit it, there are a lot of really cool home rock gardens. That said, I am going to toot my own horn here and say that they rock garden my husband built in our front yard is the premier hand built rock garden. Our club has named it Hull National Park. My husband moved every rock by hand, built a mud pit (you're welcome, Brandon "thumbsup"), and has redesigned this thing more times than I think he'd like to admit. He is constantly working on it, spending whole Saturdays bent over moving rocks. I would also like to add that this little piece of our property was just flat and grassy. None of these rocks were here to start with. I can't wait to take pictures of it "dressed up" for our Halloween crawl with the club and show it off some more. I hope you enjoy these pictures!! :)

What is that made of? What is the surface... looks glossy... which i assume wouldn't have much traction.
I do like the versatility.

Plaster cloth covered with extreme use dental plaster 7500 psi. The flash makes it look much glosser than it is. Its actually super flat and you can pull off pretty amazing vert climbs on it.

This is phase 1 river rocks. Phase 2 will be granite "like" with sand and plaster chips in the slurry.

I don't have anything decent just outside, but I have a number of awsome places within 5 miles. I being Payette Draw and the other a local watering hole called the "Water Wheel".... might have some pics of it somewhere.

Rocks come from anywhere I can find them. Mostly from new housing developments. Once the lot is sold I ask the owner if it is ok to take some of the rocks left over from the leveling of the building lot. Most are glad for the help. Also, you could try Craigslist.com- you would be surprised how many people are out there with rocks they are trying to give away.
