Will a 32p 16t pinion work w/ a stock wraith spur (80t)? If not, who makes a 32p 80t spur to go w/ my RR pinion ( it seems they don't make that spur gear)???
Thanks for the help!

Thats because the 48 pitch spur gear has 80 teeth and a 32 pitch spur gear has larger teeth so there will be less of them.. use this formula 80t / 48 pitch * 32 pitch ... so 80/48*32 = 53.33 or 53t spur
SOoooo. a 53t 32 pitch spur is the same size as an 80t 48 pitch spur..
your 16t 32 pitch pinion is equal to a 24 tooth 48 pitch pinion..
16/32*48=24..

easy peezy right???

Lmao. You lost me but it sounded good haha

It's all ratios. Stock 48p is 80/20 or 4/1. So if you want to keep stock gear ratios, go 60/15 or 56/14.

Thx guys, I just orderd RR 32p 11t pinion and 56t spur...
Anyone think these gears are too deep for a 27turn torquemaster

Well, that gives you a 5:1 final gear ratio. So, compared to "stock", it won't be as fast but will crawl a lot better. And if it is a little slow for you, you can always bump up the pinion.

It's a beast! 32p gears, Steel tranny gears, mips, jb welded lockers, aluminum links, topcad cvd axleshafts and next are HD axle gears. So yeah, it has very parts hungry but is getting close to being reliable, finally.

Just got my gears from Tower, showed up same day as my HH torquemaster...I was stoked to get em, so I sit at my workbench opening stuff, I don't realize I have 60t spur until I'm putting it on the Tranny. I notice it only has 2 pilot holes (stock is 3) and the 2 don't match up were they should??? No biggie as the 60t won't fit anyway...I reordrd from tower today, unfortunately the girl on the phone wasn't much help. I asked her if the 56t 32p would have the correct number of holes, she didn't have a clue. Not very happy w/ their customer support guess we will see if it fits when it gets here. Not til the 13th-20th??? I'm bummed about the long delivery date too! I asked to upgrade shipping, she told me it would be $20 to get it for the 13th...I could only laugh. Times like these make me wish for a decent LHS.
And I'm done venting...what are the chances that 32p 56t mounts up to stock holes???
Both spur and pinion are Robinson Racing btw...

The 32P 56T Robinson Racing spur is the same with two holes. You could attempt to line up the slipper and drill the required 3 holes to match, but you need to be dead on. I tried it with one here and it was off by just a hair and wouldn't mesh up with the pinion properly. Out of round, so to speak.
The best bet in a 56T 32P spur is the Duratrax (for the Evader), but they've been on backorder for weeks. It's a true 32P. The next workable spur is the Traxxas. They are .8 mod, but seem to work OK with a 32P pinion. Both spurs have the proper hole alignment to match the slipper.

Damn it...
Maybe a thin adapter to mate the 2....
What's everybody else do???
With all the Wraiths out there RR doesn't make a spur to fit????

Yup, I'm gonna run the 56t. I think I'll be able to put the spurgear on the drill press and get it right...I'll test fit the 60t that I'm not using
