pinion size?

Would a 15 tooth pinion be to small for a 27t motor?

I have a 15 tooth pinion on my stock 27t and it runs just fine. I am happy with the wheelsped and the torque so far.

Nah would be fine, I was running a 13t on a 45t...it was slow, but torquey.

With a 27t the extra speed would probably warrant a smaller pinion to get some torque back.

So does the smaller pinion gear make it go faster or slower?
