Depending on where you are located, it could take 12 to 24 hours for the info to update so you can get to the site...
I wouldn't worry about somebody scooping up the domain though. Now a days, the registrar will give you the benefit of the doubt and hang on to it for about 30 days after the expiry to give the original owner a chance.
Looks like the domain expired on (probably) January 6th, 2008 and the domain owner forgot to renew so it was temporarily deactivated. All sorts of reports about the site being probably started flooding in, and then somebody got on updating the domain registration for 5 years this morning!Record expires on 06-Jan-2013
